Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display element free of low-temperature bubbling while improving its operability and size precision by applying an adhesive to the liquid crystal sealing intake of a liquid crystal cell wherein liquid crystal is sealed and cooling the adhesive, and then by sucking the adhesive into the sealing intake and setting the adhesive. CONSTITUTION:At room temperature, the liquid crystal sealing intake 4 of a liquid crystal cell 5 wherein liquid crystal 6 is sealed is applied with a sealing adhesive 7 which sets by UV irradiation. Then, this liquid crystal cell 5 is left in an about 5-15 deg.C temperature atmosphere for tens seconds to suck the adhesive 7 from the sealing intake 4 to the inside by contraction due to a temperature difference from the room temperature and in this state, the adhesive 7 is set. This manufacturing method improves the sealing operability and sealing precision of the liquid crystal sealing intake 4 and eliminates the occurrence of low-temperature bubbling, so that a liquid crystal display element which has high reliability and high quality is obtained.
