Abstract

PURPOSE: To assure positive clearance at the delivery of powder materia by using piled up shields, and applying liquid jet through the gap between them and letting the powder material on the lower shield flow down, preventing the powder material from staying deposited on the shield.
CONSTITUTION: The upper shield 10 is fixed to the upper end of the lower shield 11 by means of a horizontal reinforcement 12. Around the upper periphery of the lower shield 11, an outlet 13 is provided for the upward water jet system to come down through. A reflector plate 14 is fixed to the inside of the upper shield 10. A wire net 15 is installed to the lower shield 11 around a jet nozzle machine 6 to maintain required space 22a and 22b indicate the directions of the water jet. First, the valves 20a ans 20b are opened to slurrify and deliver the powder material in the delivery well 5 through the exit duct 17, after which the valve 20c is opened to inject the above mentioned water jet to slurrify remaining powder material.
