Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a battery of performing accurate operation by generating a discrimination code once trigger light is received without performing operation until the trigger light is received, and then stopping the generation of the discrimination code signal by a reset signal. CONSTITUTION:When a car 1 is conveyed by a belt conveyor 6 until a prescribed position, the light emission part 4 of a computer 3 emits light and the photodetection part 7 of a body 2 to be discriminated photodetects the light. Then, a circuit which is arranged in the body 2 to be discriminated and generates a discrimination code signal starts operation, and light modulated by the discrimination code signal which corresponds to, for example, the body number of the car 1 is generated by the light emission part 8 of the body 2 to be discriminated. This light is photodetected by the photodetection part 5 of the computer 3, which performs arithmetic processing for demodulation; and the computer 3 sends a command to the car and prescribed operation is carried out. The generation of said light modulated by the discrimination code signal is stopped by a reset signal.
