Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a DC motor and to enable the production of high torque by winding a coil on a hollow cylindrical armature material, securing a ring of magnetic material in contact on the outer periphery of the coil and molding fixedly the armature material with synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A coil 9 is wound via an insulator 8 on a hollow cylindrical armature material 5 formed with a coil slots 4 disposed at the openings 3 on the outer periphery. A ring 10 made of magnetic material having the prescribed thickness is secured in contact with the outer periphery of the armature material 5, and the terminals of the coil 9 are connected to a commutator 11. Then, a rotor shaft 12 and a part of the coil end of the commutator 11 side are molded with synthetic resin and are secured to the armature material 5.
