Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the hot-melt adhesiveness, the transparency, the extrusion moldability and the thermoformability of a compsn. by blending a radial styrene- butadiene block copolymer with a straight-chain isoprene-styrene block copolymer rubber.
CONSTITUTION: A radial styrene-butadiene block copolymer is blended with a straight-chain isoprene-styrene block copolymer rubber having excellent transparency and hot-melt adhesiveness to obtain the desired adhesive compsn. in which extrusion moldability and thermoformability are improved without deteriorating transparency and adhesiveness. Further, the compsn. has excellent impact resistance and moderate rigidity so that the compsn. is suitable for use in bonding between various synthetic resins. Said radial copolymer is expressed by the formula [wherein S is styrene polymer segment, B is butadiene polymer segment; X is a residual group of a binder having (n) functional groups and wherein each of (n) (S-B) branches is bonded to the binder through B].
