Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain such work clamp means for a band sawing machine as will sharply improve cutting efficiency particularly of a large-sized material by a constitution wherein a work cutting position can be corrected automatically to a saw blade running line position. CONSTITUTION:A work clamping device 5 consists of a reference vice 17 and a moving vice 19, and the devices 17 and 19 are installed oppositely each other on a base 1 on both left and right sides of a work support table 3. Then, a band saw blade 7 is installed elevatingly in a saw blade housing 9 to cut a work W. A working efficiency can sharply be improved by arranging such that a cut line of the work W carried and placed onto the table 13 is automatically correted to be parallel with a running line of the saw blade 7, and a work clamp means of band sawing machine is also obtainable to ensure safe and precision cutting operation.
