Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform molding and rapping in the same station and make the entire part of the device smaller in size by retreating squeeze plates, molding flasks and a match plate after molding, receiving the molds from the molding flasks by advancing of the squeeze plates and ejecting the same onto a table.
CONSTITUTION: A match plate 8 is inserted into the spacing part between a pair of molding flasks 3, and the flasks 3 are moved to slide and are superposed on the plate 8, thence the opening parts of the flasks 3 are closed by squeeze plates 7. A hopper 16 is lowered to join a blow port 17 to the supply ports 4 of the flasks 3 and compressed air is supplied into the hopper 16 to fill the molding sand therein into the sealed chambers formed within the flasks 3. The supply of the compressed air is stopped, and the sand in the flasks 3 is pressed with the plates 7, after which the hopper 16 is moved upward, and the plates 7, the flasks 3 holding internally the mold and the plate 8 are retreated, thence the table 13 is moved upward to make the top surface thereof flush with the under surface of the inside part of the flasks 3. The plate 7 is operated to extrude the molds in the flasks 3 onto the table 13 by leaving a clearance and a cylinder 12 is operated to eject the molds 19, 20 onto a conveyor 18.
