Abstract

PURPOSE:To make transmittance controlling of a wide area and a wide range possible and hold durability by successively laminating an electrode plate, an electrochromic material and the specific resin of electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:An electrochromic (EC) material consisting essentially of WO3, MoO3, etc. is laminated on an electrode plate made by forming a conductive material consisting essentially of In2O3, SnO2, etc. on a substrate of glass of polyester film. Thence, a polyvinyl acetal resin is laminated as electrolyte giving ions on this EC material, and a counter electrode plate silimar to the lower layer is disposed thereon. A chelating agent and the like having a coordinate function to metals are contained in this counter electrode plate to make the transmission and reception of charge easy. A sealant such as epoxy resin is coated on the end face of this panel to tightly close the panel. This electro-optical panel is used for dimming panels for window materials, and the like.
