Abstract

PURPOSE: To largely improve heat conducting characteristics of fin tubes and economically produce fins used for heat exchangers in a small size and with a thin wall by working the surface of the fins of the heat exchanger to be rugged.
CONSTITUTION: Working rollers 11, 12 are provided between a fin material 10 and a working press 14 of a fin 7, and have working projections 11a, 12a on their surfaces and a lower mold 13 on which an elastic material such as rubber is plated to accommodate the projections 11a, 12a. Flat areas 11b, 12b provided in the rollers of projections 11a, 12a are for an area of collar part 9 relieved from a rugged working. A location of a pipe hole 8 of the fin 7 is standardized irrespective of the size of the fin 7, and is employed for each size of heat exchanger. Further, working rollers is employed with one roller 11 or 12.
