Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an efficient restriction of electric field and to provide a clear printing and a simple circuit by a method wherein an electric field control pole is arranged between an orifice and a stylus electric pole and a signal is applied to the control electric pole to control the electric field. CONSTITUTION:Electric field control poles C1-C7 are arranged to enclose stylus electric poles B1-B6 in order to apply a high voltage V, ink tanks are arranged to hold a recording paper P therebetween, orifices 01-06 are provided at such positions as corresponding to stylus electric poles B1-B6, and earth electric poles D1- D7 are provided at such positions as corresponding to the electric poles C1-C7. A high voltage V is applied to the stylus electric poles B1-B6, ink is injected under a meniscus form from orifices 01-06, a relatively low voltage is applied to an electric field control pole C of a desired position, ink is injected from only an orifice located at its position to perform a printing. Combined strength of electric field shows a high value, an efficient restriction of the electric field may be performed and also a clear printing may be made.
