Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A urea compound of formula I: (R1, R3, and R4 are Hor halogen; R2 is H, halogen, or lower alkyl group; R5 and R6 are H, CF3, or halogen; X, Y, and Z are O or S; however, at least one of them is S).
EXAMPLE: N-(2,6-Difluorobenzoyl)-N'-[3,5-dichloro-4-(3-chloro-5-trifluoromethylpyridin-3-yloxy) phenyl] thiourea.
USE: Insecticides having improved activities particularly as insect killers, preferably in a concentration of 20W2,000ppm.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II, e.g. 2,6-difluorobenzoyl isocyanate, is reacted with a compound of formula III, e.g. 4-(3-chloro-5-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-2-yloxy)- 3,5-dichloroaniline, preferably in a solvent, at 0W150°C for 10minW10hr to form the objective compound of formula I.
