Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously transfer the granular filtration material in a stable mode by securing water level in a cylinder above an necessary level through the mechanism wherein a closed circuit connecting a discharge pipe line of polluted waste water obtained by washing the granular filtration material and a liquid portion of a filter cylinder is provided and the polluted waste water is returned to a liquid portion of a cylinder by an automatic valve when the supply of a stock solution is stopped.

CONSTITUTION: A granular filtration material is slowly reached to a transfer chamber 3 and passed a transfer tube 4 by a lifting action of air 13, thereafter introduced to a regeneration and separation cylinder 5 of a filter material of which the bottom is connected to the upper edge of filter layer and suspended solid containing polluted waste water 7 and the granular filter material 6 are separated.
