Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the radiation loss of electromagnetic waves at the coupling plate, by constituting the plate with the dielectric substance core and the dielectric substance layer the same as the dielectric substance line. CONSTITUTION:The plate consists of the dielectric substance core 14 having a given thickness and greater in the dielectric substance, and the dielectric substance external layer 15 which is provided around the core 14, and has the same thickness as the core 14 and is small in the dielectric constant. Taking the specific inductive capacity of the dielectric substance core 14 and the external layer 15 as epsilonr1 land epsilonr2, those for the dielectric substance core 8 of the lines 12, 13 and the external layer 9 as epsilon'r1 and epsilon'r2, the value of (epsilon'r1-epsilon'r2)/(epsilonr1-epsilonr2) is taken as about 0.71 to 1.14.
