Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to change the designation of the column as well as the row and also to enable to freely select the format of printed paper with the alteration, in changing the space of the printed characters.
CONSTITUTION: When the character pitch designation code is transferred to the decoder 2a from the host unit, the decoder outputs the pitch information and it gives and output to the character pitch designation function register 2b and the AND gate 2c. When a strobe pulse is fed, the said pitch information is stored in the register 2b. When the character pitch data is fed to the gate 2d from the host unit after the pitch information is stored in the register 2b, the pitch data and the function reception register are logically summed, and the output is given to the character data register 2e when the strobe pulse is fed. The character pitch data is fed to the character pitch insertion circuit 2f to enable the designation of column pitch.
