Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title composition having high rate of dissolution, by granulating a medicine and coating with an antiacid agent and ethylcellulose.
CONSTITUTION: A medicine which forms an insoluble or hardly soluble free base in an acidic aqueous solution, and exhibits bitter taste, e.g. dicloxacillin sodium salt, is granulated e.g. by fluid bed granulation process, to obtain granules having high specific surface area. The surface of the granules is coated with ethylecellulose containing an antiacid agent (e.g. magnesium metasilicate aluminate) to mask the bitter taste of the medicine. Since the composition thus prepared has high specific volume and specific surface area, it has high rate of dissolution in spite of the masking of the bitter taste.
