Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the title composition by compounding a hardly soluble medicinal component with a specific base component such as polyvinyl pyrrolidone and polyethylene glycol.
CONSTITUTION: A hardly soluble medicine, e.g. γ-oryzanol, indomethacin, rifampicillin, griseofulvin, and mefenamic acid, is compounded with either (A) a composition containing polyvinyl pyrrolidone, methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, and/or hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (the 1-a component) or (B) a mixture of (a) a composition containing one or more compounds selected from polyvinyl pyrrolidone, urea, citric acid, mannitol, etc. and (b) one or more compounds selected from a surface active agent, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, glycerine, etc., and the mixture is granulated sith a fluid bed granulator.
