Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable high-speed recording without lack, damage or disturbance of printing by providing a communication between the operating chamber of a non- impact recording device and the air through the intermediary of an orifice separate from a discharge orifice of ink. CONSTITUTION:Ink IK is led in a operating chamber 12. To this operating chamber 12 is attached an electrothermal converter 14, which inputs a recording signal in ink IK, brings about a sharp change of the state in ink IK, produces an air bubble 16 and makes a discharge orifice 13 discharge ink IK as small drips 17. At this time, together with the air bubble 16, unnecessary small bubbles 19 are produced. In order to discharge the unnecessary small bubbles 19 in the air, a part 12 is provided, and through an opening 21 of the part, the inner chamber of the operating chamber 12 communicates with the air. Since the small bubbles 19 are removed one after another from the operating chamber 12, they do not stay in the chamber 12, thereby the lack of discharge of ink drips being eliminated and the stable state of discharge being maintained.
