Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the water from the waste, increase the temperature of the waste and provide a brittle fracture by a method wherein the fed waste material is drawn in the heated flowing medium being lifted from the fluidizing bed and then the fluidizing bed is descended. CONSTITUTION:Two partition plates 4, 4' are arranged vertically in the furnace main body R having a horizontal section of rectangular shape, a moving bed 1 is formed at the center, fluidizing beds 2 are formed at both sides, and a shoot 3 having a double-damper 7 for feeding the waste material to the center of the furnace is arranged at a central part of the top end of the furnace. The waste material fed by the double-damper 7 is lifted up along the fluidizing bed, wound into the heated flowing media guided into the moving bed 1 by the deflector plate 16 and then dropped into the moving bed 1. During this movement, the waste material is made to be such a size as it is dewatered, increased in its temperature, resulting in brittle fracture which does not disturb fluidizing. Therefore, it is possible to fracture the waste material in the furnace without additional installation of the crusher device.
