Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a car-use acoustic device which can set the accurate sound image normal by giving the delay of the optional time to the stereo signal given through the woofer at the back of the car room. CONSTITUTION:Left and right stereo signals L and R supplied to input terminals 1 and 1' drive middle-pitch tone speaker and tweeter 6L and 6R provided in front of the car room via high pass filters 3L and 3R plus amplifier 4 each. On the other hand, the stereo signals of the low-pitched tone component passed through low pass filters 2L and 2R drive woofers 5L and 5R provided at the back of the car room via analog delay part 7 comprising BBD, CCD and others plus amplifier 4. Thus the stereo sound field of the high sound image normal can be produced in the car room by setting properly the delay amount of part 7. The high and low band cut-off frequencies of the filters are set properly to 100-300Hz.
