Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce time of magnetization and also to lessen unmagnetized portion by magnetizing a magnetic substance magnetized in the only one direction throughout its length in the other magnetizing direction at a 1/2 pitch width every one pitch of a desired magnetic pattern. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic substance 7, e.g., of barium ferrite, etc., which is beforehand magnetized in the only one direction of magnetic lattice patterns throughout its whole length, is arranged between the excited windings 10 and 11 whose winding direction is the same and the magnetizers 8 and 9 consisting of the high-magnetic metal plates 14 and 15 provided with the tooth 12 and 13 formed at half the pitch of a desired magnetic lattice pattern. Then, power is fed to the excited windings 10 and 11 for excitation to magnetize the portions facing each other of the upper and lower teeth 12 and 13 of the magnetic substance 7 in the opposite direction to the aforesaid magnetic field direction.
