Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a carcinostatic agent having slow and controlled releaseability suitable to the functions and the states of the applied position, by coating a core with a coating composition composed of a water-insoluble and water-permeable film- forming polymer and a higher fatty acid.
CONSTITUTION: A carcinostatic substance is mixed with a diluent, and if inecessary further mixed with a solution of a binder prepared by dissolving a binder and a plasticizer in an organic solvent. The mixture is thoroughly kneaded, granulated, and dried. The granules are mixed with a lubricant such as talc, and tabletted. The tablet thus obtained is coated with a coating liquid prepared by dissolving a water-insoluble and water-permeable film-forming polymer (e.g. methacrylic acid/ methacrylate copolymer, etc.) and a higher fatty acid in an organic solvent.
