Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the vibrating direction and posture of a voice coil and diaphragm, stabilize vibrating system and reduce non-linear distortion by holding the voice coil of a dynamic speaker or microphone with rollable balls. CONSTITUTION:In the acoustic transducer constituted by holding a voice coil 4 mounted to a voice coil bobbin 11 secured to a cone type diaphragm in the gap between a center pole 1 and a plate 2, the balls 8 making rolling motion in contact with the voice coil bobbins 11 and the holding members 9, 10 for turnably holding the balls 8 are provided (the members 9, 10 are secured to the center pole 1). Such constitution causes the vibrations of the voice coil bobbin 11 to be controlled accurately and smoothly in the central axis direction of the center pole 1 and yet makes possible the mechanical holding of the vibration system only by the edge 6 and balls 8, thereby enabling damper 5 to be eliminated.
