Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent part of a body such as a face and a hand from touching a touch panel during a telephone conversation, etc., to cause malfunction by providing a switching means for allowing and disallowing touch panel input. CONSTITUTION: While part of the body such as a finger and the face is in contact with a flexible key 4 when the power source is turned on, an input signal is sent to an input signal control means 16. Here, when an input acknowledgement signal is sent to an input signal control means 16 from the touch panel input ON/OFF switching means 2, the input signal control means 16 sends the signal from an input means 14 to a control means 15. When an input negative acknowledgement signal is sent from the touch panel input ON/OFF switching means 2 to the input signal control means 16, on the other hand, the input signal control means 16 does not send the signal from the input means 4 to the signal control means 15. Therefore, the operability of the telephone set which tends to have multifunctional application and be reduced in size is improved.

Although mobile phones have been miniaturized in order to improve portability, as described above, when a mechanical keyboard is used for the operation unit and liquid crystal is used for the display unit, If the screen of the display unit is enlarged to make it easier to see in order to deal with multiple functions, there is a problem that the operation unit becomes small and the operability becomes very poor. When a touch panel is used on the mobile phone, there is a possibility that a part of the caller's body may come into contact with the touch panel during a phone call, causing a malfunction of the function.

In FIG. 2, reference numeral 7 indicates a signal modulated by a modulation / demodulation means 8 which will be described later, and the reception signal from the air interface is transmitted to the modulation / demodulation means 8.
An RF circuit, 8 is a modulation / demodulation means for modulating a digital signal from a channel code decoding means 9 to be described later and sending it to the RF circuit, and demodulating a signal from the RF circuit for sending to the channel code decoding means 9.
Reference numeral 9 denotes a modulation / demodulation means 8 which divides a digital signal from a data communication drive means 10 or a voice code decoding means 11 which will be described later into a predetermined bit length, adds control bits and the like, and further encrypts the channel code.
To the data communication drive means 10 or the voice code decoding means 11 by decoding the signal from the modulation / demodulation means 8 and separating the control bits, and sending it to the data communication drive means 10 or the voice code decoding means 11. The signal received from the channel code decoding means 9 and is sent to the channel code decoding means 9
A data communication drive means for transmitting the signal from the microphone to a personal computer, a facsimile, etc., 11 voice-codes the transmission signal from the microphone 6 according to a voice-coding algorithm and sends it to the channel code decoding means 9, and also from the channel code decoding means 9. A voice code decoding means for voice decoding a signal according to a voice code algorithm and sending it to the receiver 5, and a control means 15 for controlling a communication protocol and other application functions. The full flexible key 4 is functionally a dial key for inputting numbers such as a dial number, input means corresponding to a function key for setting various functions, and a screen for switching the screen of the display unit 3. The switching means and the matrix reading means for detecting which part of the full flexible key 4 the finger or the like has touched. The touch panel input enable / disable switching means 2 sends the ON / OFF signal to the input control means 16 as a toggle output. Reference numeral 12 is a memory that stores an execution program of the control unit 15 and image data for a screen as shown in FIG. 4, a memory including a RAM having a work area of the control unit 15, and the like, and 13 is a display unit 3. An image output means such as a VRAM for storing and outputting image data to be displayed on a display, 14 is a display for reading the image data from the image output means 13 and continuously displaying the image on the display unit 3. It is a control means.

Next, the operation of the input signal control means 16 will be described with reference to FIGS. In step 17, when the power is turned on, the full flexible key 4 is in contact with a part of the body such as a finger or face, and an input signal is transmitted to the input signal control means 16. Touch panel input enable / disable switching means 2
If the input enable signal is sent from the input signal control means 16 to the input signal control means 16, the input signal control means 16 sends the signal from the input means 4 to the control means 15 (steps 18 and 19), and touch panel input enable / disable. The input enable signal from the switching means 2 is also sent to the control means 15 and processed, and then sent to the image output means 13 so that the input enable signal or the like is transmitted as shown at the right end of FIG. Display. Further, when a signal indicating that input is impossible is sent from the touch panel input enable / disable switching means 2 to the input signal means 16, the input signal control means 16 changes the signal from the input means 4 to the signal control means 15.
(Steps 18 and 20), and the input disable signal from the touch panel input enable / disable switching means 2 is also sent to the control means 15 for processing and then sent to the image output means 13. As shown at the right end of 4b, a message indicating that input is impossible is displayed.
