For example, a large number of grooves are formed on the outer circumference of the hitting portion of a metal bat in a direction intersecting with the axis, and the first fiber reinforced layer in which resin-impregnated carbon fibers are wound around the outer circumference and a direction further crossing the outer circumference. There is a proposal for a baseball bat having a second fiber-reinforced layer wound with resin-impregnated carbon fibers (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 60-187776).

However, since the reinforcing material is other than metal, there is a problem in the integrity with the metal bat body. there were. It is presumed that even when a metal reinforcing material was used, it was not used because the desired purpose could not be achieved due to poor compatibility between the metal bat body and the reinforcing material.

That is, the above-mentioned conventional problems have been solved.

Is the way. The hard metal is titanium, titanium alloy, stainless steel or other special alloy.

It is possible to deal with hitting balls as a unit.

The thin walled pipe 2 made of a titanium alloy was fitted into the hitting portion 1a, and the outside of the hitting portion was swaged to manufacture the metal bat 3. In the above, the thin-walled pipe 2 is integrated so that it is almost embedded in the hitting portion of the metal pipe body 1 (FIG. 4). In the above, the metal bat body 1
Since the inner diameter of the thin-walled pipe 2 is larger than the outer diameter of the hit ball portion (is larger for fitting), naturally the thinner-walled pipe 2
The outer diameter of is larger than the outer diameter of the metal bat 1 by more than the wall thickness. Therefore, the thin pipe 2 is forced to reduce its diameter by the swaging process, and when the wall thickness changes (increases the thickness), the outside is tapped like a forging process (the swaging process).
As a result, the hardness is increased, and the reinforcing effect can be further improved.

And, there are various effects such as improving hardness. Therefore, at the time of hitting a ball, there is an effect that the reinforcing material is firmly adhered to the whole body without fear of the reinforcing material peeling off or dropping from the metal bat body.
