[Detailed description of the invention] [Field of industrial application] The present invention is a tooth surface polishing device that sprays a mixed spray of water and abrasive onto the tooth surface to remove and clean deposits on the tooth surface. It is designed to effectively perform this process and to prevent the spray from scattering inside and outside the mouth during tooth surface polishing.

Conventionally, when using a tooth surface polishing device to remove plaque and stains adhering to the tooth surface by spraying a mixed spray of water and abrasive onto the tooth surface, the tip of the suction tube was separately attached near the spray nozzle. It is designed to suck up and collect scattered water and abrasives.
Because there was a lot of scattering, things didn't go as planned.
The particles were scattered inside and outside the mouth, staining the dental treatment table and the dentist's hands, which required cleaning after the fact, which was a nuisance. In addition, especially due to the structure of the spray nozzle, the spray efficiency of the mixed spray of water and abrasive to a specific tooth surface was not necessarily high, and there were cases where concentrated spray was somewhat lacking.

That is, the present invention has a notched tip that is used by fitting into the tip of the spray nozzle of a tooth surface polishing device that sprays a mixed spray of water and abrasive onto the tooth surface to remove and clean deposits on the tooth surface. It is an object of the present invention to provide a tooth surface polishing injection nozzle attachment made of a soft tubular body.

The injection nozzle attachment uses a soft tubular body with a part of the tip cut out in a V-shape or U-shape, and the tubular body is fitted to the tip of the injection nozzle to form an integral unit. Since it is made of a soft material, the tip fits comfortably against the tooth surface without any discomfort, and this allows the spray to be concentrated on a specific location on the tooth surface. After the polishing process is completed, the spray is discharged from the notch in the tubular body, and most of it is removed outside the mouth by a suction tube waiting nearby. As the soft tubular body, it is more convenient to be able to see the part of the tooth surface to be polished, so it is preferable to use transparent silicone rubber, for example.
It also has the advantage of being able to be sterilized at high temperatures.

As shown in FIG. 1, an injection nozzle 3 is provided on a hand piece 4 via a bent pipe section 5 in the tooth surface polishing apparatus. A short soft tubular body 1 made of transparent silicone rubber is fitted into the injection nozzle 3, and the tip of the soft tubular body 1 has a V-shaped notch 2 as shown in FIG. is forming.

Approximately 2.0 to 2.2 Kg/cm2 of pressurized air and 2.0 Kg/cm2 are supplied from the soft tubular member 1 through the injection nozzle 3 so that the soft tubular member 1 is in contact with the tooth surface area to be polished.
Pressurized water and an abrasive agent such as sodium bicarbonate are sprayed at a rate of 4 to 5 g per minute to polish and clean the tooth surface. During this time, a suction tube is also used to prevent the spray from scattering.

[Effect of the invention] Even if the soft tubular body having the notch of the present invention is fitted to the tip of the injection nozzle of a tooth surface polishing device and used with the tip in contact with the tooth surface, the contact will not cause discomfort. The spray can be effectively concentrated on specific areas of the tooth surface to be polished without having to In addition, most of the unused spray can be scattered inside and outside the mouth. The injection nozzle attachment made of the soft tubular body of the present invention is extremely easy to manufacture and is extremely inexpensive, which together with its effects bring great benefits to the field of dental treatment.
