Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet head for an ink jet printer of high printing quality easily by including substrates with a flow path formed in a single holder. CONSTITUTION:If many nozzles are formed on a single substrate, the substrate becomes large and processing yield decreases. Therefore, an ink jet head contains substrates 11, 12 in a single holder 14, and head substrates 11, 12 of glass, plastic and metal with flow paths formed on the front and rear are set in a holder 14. The head substrate is vertically adjusted to an appropriate position so that arranged nozzle rows 13 are vertically spaced at an equal interval. The holder 14 contains a piezoelectric element and parts and ink flow paths for obtaining an electric conductive surface between the piezoelectric element and an external device, on the substrate, in addition to the substrates 11, 12.
