However, if a resistance-type muffling section or intake hole throttle structure is adopted, there is a problem in that air resistance increases, which reduces the intake efficiency of the engine and reduces output. Furthermore, the capacity of the resonant silencing section 1 cannot be increased due to space constraints, which makes it impossible to set the resonant frequency low, which makes it impossible to achieve a sufficient silencing effect. . The thin-walled cylindrical end portion 9 is fitted and fixed by a band 10. The silencing part 7 is an integrally molded product of synthetic resin or rubber that has a large number of communication holes 11 inside, and is entirely molded into a thick-walled cylindrical shape except for both thin-walled cylindrical ends 9 and 12. The air intake passage 13 is provided with an intake passage 13.
One end of the intake passage 13 communicates with the inlet 5, and the other end opens to the outside to form an intake hole 14. The communication hole 11 opens on the inner surface 15 of the intake passage 13, and is closed or open on the outer surface 16 of the muffling section 7. The outer surface 16 is not covered with a cover or the like, and is exposed to the outside to form the outer skin of the sound deadening section 7.

During this operation, intake noise from the engine reaches the intake passage 13, but the noise damping part 7 itself acts as a low-frequency sound absorbing material, and the intake noise is diffused into the many communication holes 11 and absorbed, so that it is not transmitted to the outside. Intake noise is prevented from being transmitted. Furthermore, since the intake passage 13 has a large inner diameter over its entire length and is not provided with a throttle or a low resistance portion, no large resistance is applied to the intake flow, and the intake efficiency of the engine is maintained at a sufficiently high level.

Note that if it is desired to reliably prevent vibrations of the muffling section 7, a portion of the muffling section 7 near the intake hole 14 can be attached to the body frame or the like using a band 19 or other member.

An intake passage 13 is provided in the noise muffling part 7, and the communication hole 11 is communicated with the intake passage 13, and the outer skin of the muffler part 7 is formed of the surface 16 of the above-mentioned integrally molded product. Can be erased. Therefore, compared to the conventional resonance type, the silencing section 7 can be made more compact and a sufficient silencing effect can be obtained, and the air resistance can be reduced compared to the conventional resistance type or intake hole throttle type. It is possible to increase the engine's intake efficiency and improve the output. Furthermore, since the muffling section 7 is made of only an integrally molded product such as resin, it is easy to manufacture and can be easily attached to the air cleaner body 4 using only the band 10, for example.

Note that in FIG. 3, the muffling section 7 is fixed to the wall surface of the air cleaner body 4 by screws 21.

You can finish the desired structure without any trouble.
