【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、胴回りのフィット性、及び漏れ防止性能に優れたパンツ型の吸収性物品に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来のパンツ型の吸収性物品として、液透過性の表面シート、液不透過性の裏面シート及び両シート間に介在された液保持性の吸収体を備え、ウエスト開口部及び一対のレッグ開口部それぞれに、その周縁部全周に亘って実質的に連続したギャザーを形成するように弾性部材が配設されており、腹側部及び／又は背側部における胴周囲部に、複数の弾性部材がそれぞれ幅方向に配設されており、一対の立体ギャザーが腹側部から背側部に亘って形成されているパンツ型の使い捨ておむつが知られている。

このタイプのおむつにおいては、胴周囲部に配設された弾性部材により、胴廻りにおけるフィット性が向上しているため、おむつのズレ落ちが防止されている。
しかし、胴周囲部や一対のレッグ開口部に配設された弾性部材が、吸収体と重なる部位を有し、その部分においても弾性伸縮性を発現したため、吸収体が、着用者の肌側に凸となるように弓状に変形し、それによって立体ギャザーの起立性が損なわれるという問題があった。また、吸収体と重ねて配置された弾性部材により吸収体が幅方向に収縮し、左右の立体ギャザー間に形成される排泄物保持用のポケットが狭くなる結果、排泄物の漏れ防止性能が低下する問題があった。

従って、本発明の目的は、胴回りのフィット性に優れており、しかも立体ギャザーの起立性に優れると共に大きな排泄物保持用のポケットを形成することができ、排泄物の漏れ防止性能に優れたパンツ型の吸収性物品を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、液透過性の表面シート、液不透過性の裏面シート及び両シート間に介在された液保持性の吸収体を備え、ウエスト開口部及び一対のレッグ開口部それぞれに、その周縁部全周に亘って実質的に連続したギャザーを形成するように弾性部材が配設されており、腹側部及び／又は背側部における胴周囲部に、複数の弾性部材がそれぞれ幅方向に配設されており、一対の立体ギャザーが腹側部から背側部に亘って形成されているパンツ型の吸収性物品において、前記胴周囲部に配設された弾性部材及び一対の前記レッグ開口部に配設された弾性部材は、それぞれ、少なくとも前記吸収体の両側縁よりも外方の部位に、弾性伸縮性が発現されるように伸張状態で配設固定されており、且つ該吸収体が存在する部位の少なくとも中央部には弾性伸縮性が発現される状態では配設されておらず、一対の前記立体ギャザーの固定端は、それぞれ、一対の前記レッグ開口部に配設された弾性部材が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりも吸収性物品の幅方向内方側に位置する吸収性物品を提供することにより、前記目的を達成したものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明をその好ましい実施形態に基づいて説明する。
本発明の吸収性物品の一実施形態としての使い捨ておむつ１は、パンツ型の使い捨ておむつであり、図１〜３に示すように、液透過性の表面シート２、液不透過性の裏面シート３及び両シート２，３間に介在された液保持性の吸収体４を有する吸収性本体１０と、該吸収性本体１０の外側（非肌当接面側）に位置して該吸収性本体１０を接合固定している外層体５とを具備し、着用時に着用者の腹側に配される腹側部Ａの両側縁Ａ１，Ａ２と背側に配される背側部Ｂの両側縁Ｂ１，Ｂ２とが、ヒートシール、高周波シール、超音波シール等の公知の接合手段により互いに接合されて、ウエスト開口部７及び一対のレッグ開口部８，８が形成されている。

吸収性本体１０は、縦長矩形状をなし、その長手方向を使い捨ておむつ１の長手方向に一致させて、おむつ１の腹側部Ａから背側部Ｂに亘るように、公知の接合手段により外層体５の幅方向中央部に接合されている。吸収体４は、長手方向中央部の括れた砂時計状をなし、表面シート２及び裏面シート３間に挟持固定されている。吸収体４としては、従来おむつに用いられているものを特に制限なく用いることができるが、本実施形態のおむつ１においては、高吸収性ポリマーの粒子及び繊維材料からなる吸収性コアを、ティッシュペーパで被覆したものを用いている。
本明細書において、おむつ（吸収性物品）の長手方向とは、おむつ（吸収性物品）を、図２に示すように平面状に展開した状態における腹側部Ａと背側部Ｂとを結ぶ方向である。

本使い捨ておむつ１においては、腹側部Ａから背側部Ｂに亘って、一対の立体ギャザー６，６が形成されている。具体的には、吸収性本体１０の長手方向左右両側部に、吸収性本体１０の幅方向内方側に自由端６１を有し外方側に固定端（基端）６２を有する立体ギャザー６が形成されている。各立体ギャザー６における自由端６１近傍には、該自由端６１に沿って、立体ギャザー用弾性部材６３が伸縮自在に配設されている。

各立体ギャザー６は、立体ギャザー形成用の所定幅のシート材６４を、その長手方向の一側縁部が裏面シート３の裏側に位置し他側縁部が表面シート２の側縁部を覆って該表面シート２上に位置するように配すると共に、所定箇所に弾性部材６３，６５を配設して形成されており、立体ギャザー６の固定端（基端）６２は、立体ギャザー形成用のシート材６４の所定箇所を、ヒートシール、接着剤等の公知の接合手段により、表面シート２に接合固定して形成されている。立体ギャザー６の固定端（基端）６２は、おむつを展開して平面視した状態（図２）において、それぞれ、おむつ１の長手方向に延びるように形成されており、また、吸収体４の中央部両側に沿って直線をなすように形成されている。

ウエスト開口部７には、その周縁部全周に亘って実質的に連続したギャザーを形成するようにウエスト部弾性部材７１が配設されている。詳細には、外層体５における前後両端部それぞれに、複数本（図示例では４本）の弾性部材が、所定の間隔を開けて、それぞれ幅方向に配されており、おむつ１の腹側部Ａの両側縁Ａ１，Ａ２と背側部Ｂの両側縁Ｂ１，Ｂ２とが互いに接合された状態においては、外層体５の前端部の弾性部材によるギャザーと後端部の弾性部材によるギャザーとが実質的に連続するように連結されて、ウエスト開口部７の周縁部全周に亘る環状のウエストギャザーが形成されている。

一対のレッグ開口部８，８には、各レッグ開口部８の周縁部全周に亘って実質的に連続したギャザーを形成するようにレッグ部弾性部材８１が配設されている。より具体的には、各レッグ開口部８には、レッグ部弾性部材８１として第１弾性部材８１ａ及び第２弾性部材８１ｂが配設されている。第１弾性部材８１ａは、主として股下部Ｃにおける腹側部Ａ寄りに配されており、第２弾性部材８１ｂは、主として股下部Ｃにおける背側部Ｂ寄りに配されている。

また、本実施形態の使い捨ておむつ１においては、腹側部Ａ及び背側部Ｂそれぞれにおける胴周囲部Ｄに、複数の胴周囲部弾性部材９が、それぞれおむつ１の幅方向に、所定間隔で配されている。胴周囲部Ｄとは、ウエスト部弾性部材７１が配された位置より下方で且つレッグ開口部８，８よりも上方に位置する部分である。
各胴周囲部弾性部材９は、外層体５を構成する相隣接する二枚のシート材５１，５２間、より詳細には、おむつの最外層に配され、おむつの外形を形成している外層シート５１とその内側に位置する内層シート５２との間に配設されている。尚、本実施形態における外層体５は、少なくとも二枚のシート材からなる。また、内層シート５２は、外層シート５１と略同形状の外形を有するが、長さ方向については外層シートに比べて短く、その両端部は、内側に折り返された外層シート５１により被覆されている。

本使い捨ておむつにおいては、胴周囲部Ｄに配設された胴周囲部弾性部材９、及び一対のレッグ開口部８，８に配設されたレッグ部弾性部材８１は、それぞれ、少なくとも前記吸収体の両側縁４１，４１よりも外方の部位に、弾性伸縮性が発現されるように伸張状態で配設固定されており、且つおむつ１の幅方向における前記吸収体が存在する部位の少なくとも中央部には弾性伸縮性が発現される状態では配設されていない。
本発明において、「弾性伸縮性が発現される状態では配されていない」とは、その部分に弾性部材が配されていない場合と、弾性部材が配されているが、その部分においては弾性伸縮性を発現しない場合の両者を包含する。
弾性伸縮性が発現しない状態としては、伸長状態が解除されている場合や、熱処理や接着剤の塗布などの何らかの手段によって弾性部材の弾性が消失している場合が挙げられる。

本実施形態の使い捨ておむつ１における各胴周囲部弾性部材９は、腹側部Ａ及び背側部Ｂそれぞれにおける幅方向の両端部（おむつ１における両側部）に配されており、各胴周囲部弾性部材９における吸収体４の両側縁４１，４１よりも外方に位置する部分は、おむつ（吸収性物品）１の構成材としての外層体５、より具体的にはシート材５１，５２の一方又は両方に伸長状態で固定されて、弾性収縮性を発現するようになされている。これにより、図１に示す如く、腹側部Ａ及び背側部Ｂそれぞれにおける幅方向の両端部にギャザーが形成されている。尚、図２における一点鎖線Ｌ１は、各胴周囲部弾性部材９における弾性伸縮性を発現する部分（外層体５に伸長状態で固定された部分）と弾性伸縮性を発現しない部分（伸長状態を解除され、外層体５に固定されていない部分）との境界を示している。

胴周囲部弾性部材９は、吸収体４が存在する部位の少なくとも中央部には弾性伸縮性が発現される状態では配設されていない。即ち、吸収体４が存在する部位の幅方向の少なくとも中央部には、胴周囲部弾性部材９が配されていないか、又は該中央部に胴周囲部弾性部材９が配されている場合には、該胴周囲部弾性部材９は弾性伸縮性が発現しないように配されている。
本実施形態においては、胴周囲部弾性部材９は、その両端のうちの一方であるおむつ１の幅方向内側の端部が、吸収体４の側縁部に若干重なる程度の状態で配されており、吸収体４の幅方向中央部から左右両側縁部の近傍にかけての領域には胴周囲部弾性部材９が配されていない。吸収体４の側縁部に重なる胴周囲部弾性部材９の端部は非伸張状態となっており、弾性伸縮性が発現していない。
吸収体４上には、その幅方向の全域に亘って胴周囲部弾性部材９が全く配されていないか、又は配されていたとしても弾性伸縮性が発現しないように配されていることが、好ましい。

尚、吸収体４の後述するひだ寄せ等を防止する観点から、胴周囲部弾性部材９が配されていないか又は配されていても弾性伸縮性を発現しない部分の幅Ｗは、おむつ１を図２に示すように平面状に展開した状態において、ベビー用のパンツ型おむつにおいては、吸収体幅Ｗ１の１／２以上又は製品全幅Ｗ２の１／２０以上３／４以下であることが好ましく、大人用のパンツ型おむつについては、吸収体幅Ｗ１のほぼ１／３以上又は製品全幅Ｗ２の１／２０以上３／４以下であることが好ましい。

本使い捨ておむつ１において、各レッグ開口部８に配されるレッグ部弾性部材８１としての第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂは、それぞれ股下部Ｃにおける幅方向の両端部（おむつ１の両側部）に配されており、両弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂにおける吸収体４の両側縁４１，４１よりも外方に位置する部分は、おむつの構成材としての外層体５に伸長状態で固定されて、弾性収縮性を発現するようになされている。

より具体的には、第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂは、図２に示すように、それぞれの両端の内の一端８２が位置する腹側部Ａ又は背側部Ｂの一側縁近傍から、レッグ開口部８の周縁部に沿って、おむつ１の長手方向中央部に至るように配されており、両弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂは、おむつ１の長手方向中央部において互いに交差している。

そして、第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂは、腹側部Ａ又は背側部Ｂの一側縁部に位置する一端部８２から両者の交差部Ｋまでの部分においては外層体５を構成するシート材５１，５２の一方又は両方に伸長状態で固定され、その固定された部分（一端部８２を除く）が弾性伸縮性を発現してギャザーを形成している。そして、第１弾性部材８１ａにより形成されたギャザーと第２弾性部材８１ｂにより形成されたギャザーとが、おむつの長手方向中央部において実質的に連続するように互いに連結され、レッグ開口部８の周縁部全周に亘る環状のレッグギャザーが形成されている。尚、第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂは、それぞれ複数本（図示例では３本）の弾性部材からなる。

レッグ開口部８に配されたレッグ部弾性部材８１としての第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂは、それぞれ、おむつ１の幅方向における、吸収体４が存在する部位の少なくとも中央部には弾性伸縮性が発現される状態では配設されていない。即ち、吸収体４が存在する部位の幅方向の少なくとも中央部には、第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂの何れもが配されていないか、又は該中央部に第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂの一方又は両方が配されている場合には、その中央部に配された弾性部材は弾性伸縮性を発現しないように配されている。

本実施形態における第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂそれぞれは、それぞれの両端のうちの一方である内側の端部８３の近傍が、吸収体４の側縁部に若干重なる程度の状態で配されており、吸収体４の幅方向中央部から左右両側縁部の近傍にかけての領域には、第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂが配されていない。また、第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂそれぞれにおける、両者の交差部Ｋよりもおむつの幅方向内方側に位置する部分は、シート材５１，５２の何れにも固定されておらず、弾性伸縮性を発現していない。尚、吸収体４上には、その幅方向の全域に亘ってレッグ部弾性部材８１が全く配されていないか、又は配されていたとしても弾性伸縮性が発現しないように配されていることが、好ましい。

本使い捨ておむつ１においては、一対の立体ギャザー６，６の固定端（基端）６２，６２が、それぞれ、一対のレッグ開口部８，８に配設されたレッグ部弾性部材８１が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりもおむつ１の幅方向内方側（おむつを幅方向に二等分する中央線側）に位置している。

本実施形態のおむつ１における一対の立体ギャザー６，６は、それぞれ、その固定端６２が、一対のレッグ開口部に配設されたレッグ部弾性部材８１としての第１及び第２弾性部材８１ａ，８１ｂが弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりもおむつ１の幅方向内方側に位置する。

一対の立体ギャザー６，６の固定端６２，６２は、股下部Ｃにおける長手方向のほぼ全域（好ましくは全域）に亘って、レッグ部弾性部材８１が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりも幅方向内方側に位置していることが好ましい。例えば、股下部Ｃの長手方向の長さの８０％以上、より好ましくは８８％以上の領域において、レッグギャザーの固定端６２が、レッグ部弾性部材８１が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりも幅方向内方側に位置していることが好ましい。
本実施形態においては、股下部Ｃにおける長手方向の全域に亘って、各立体ギャザーの固定端６２が、弾性伸縮性を発現するレッグ部弾性部材８１の配設部位よりも幅方向内方側に位置している。

立体ギャザー６の固定端６２が、レッグ部弾性部材８１が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりも幅方向中央側に位置するか否かは、おむつ１を図２に示すように展開した状態において、おむつ１の長手方向の各部位における幅方向の位置関係をみて判断する。

本実施形態の使い捨ておむつ１は、通常のパンツ型の使い捨ておむつと同様にして使用することができる。
本実施形態の使い捨ておむつ１は、胴周囲部Ｄに配設された胴周囲部弾性部材９、及び一対のレッグ開口部８，８に配設されたレッグ部弾性部材８１が、それぞれ、吸収体４と重なる部位の少なくとも中央部に弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されていないため、着用者の胴廻りにおけるフィット性に優れ、ズレ落ちにくく、更に幅広いサイズ適性と優れた装着性とが得られると共に、吸収体にシワが寄らないことで尿の表面液流れが防止でき、また、吸収体の装着中においても有効幅が維持されることで、吸収体の吸収性能を十分に発揮させることができる。また、吸収体がひだ寄せされないために、すっきりした外観を有する厚さの薄い使い捨ておむつとすることができ、また、着用中に吸収体が縮みにくいので、必要とされる吸収体の幅が少なくても吸収性能を維持することができ、吸収性能を維持しながら、使用材料量や製造コストの削減、おむつのコンパクト化等を図ることも可能である。更に、腹側部又は背側部に印刷を施す場合に、その印刷が見やすいなどのメリットもある。

吸収体のひだ寄せ発生が防止されることは、吸収体が薄型軽量で柔軟性が高い場合に特に有効である。詳細には、吸収体４の厚みが０．５〜１０ｍｍ、特に０．５〜５ｍｍ程度である場合、吸収体４におけるパルプ繊維の含有量が０〜５５重量％、特に０〜３０重量％程度である場合、或いは吸収体４の柔軟性の尺度となるＴａｂｅｒこわさの値が０．５〜２０ｇｆ・ｃｍ、特に０．５〜１０ｇｆ・ｃｍである場合には、吸収体４のフィット性が特に高くなるが、逆に吸収体４にひだ寄せが起こりやすくなる。しかし、胴周囲部弾性部材９及びレッグ部弾性部材８１を前述の態様で配設することで、変形し易い薄型軽量の吸収体４を用いた場合であっても、ひだ寄せの発生が効果的に防止される。

前述のＴａｂｅｒこわさは、板紙のテーバーこわさ試験機によるこわさ試験方法（ＪＩＳＰ８１２５）に記載されている方法に従い測定される。具体的には吸収体４を３．８×７．０ｃｍに裁断し、テーバーこわさ試験機を用いて測定する。

更に、使い捨ておむつ１においては、一対の立体ギャザー６，６の固定端６２，６２が、それぞれ、一対のレッグ開口部８，８に配設されたレッグ部弾性部材８１が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりもおむつ１の幅方向中央側（幅方向の内方側）に位置しているため、吸収体の長手方向の両側縁部近傍に設けられた立体ギャザー６，６の起立性が向上する。
【００３０】
即ち、レッグ部弾性部材８１及び胴周囲部弾性部材９は、おむつの厚み方向における吸収体４よりも非肌当接面側に配された外層体５、より具体的には、外層体５を構成する外層シート５１及びその内側の内層シート５２に固定されているが、仮に吸収体４と重なる部分に、これらの弾性部材が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で連続的に存在すると、吸収体よりも非肌当接面側に配されたシート材が、弾性部材の伸縮性によって縮もうとする。このとき、吸収体４はある程度の硬さを持つことから、弾性部材が固定されたシート材５ほどは縮まないため、おむつが着用者側に凸となるように弓のように湾曲し、弦にあたるのがシート材５部分、弧にあたるのが吸収体部分となり、おむつが全体的に外側に向いて湾曲する傾向となる。本実施形態のおむつ１のように外層体５と吸収性本体１０との接着が風合いの向上等を目的として部分接着とされている場合には、更にその傾向は強くなる。その結果、吸収体の両側縁部近傍に配置した立体ギャザー６，６が外向きになりやすくなり、本来、装着者に向かってせり立つことで、大きなポケット空間を形成することが目的で立体ギャザーが配設されているにもかかわらず、思うようなポケットが形成されにくくなり、その結果、多量の排泄物が排泄されたりすると、排泄物がポケットから溢れてモレの現象につながってしまうことがある。伸縮性の大きい弾性体を使用する股下部では、特にこの現象が起きやすい。また、長時間おむつを装着しているとよりその危険性は高まる。

これに対して、本使い捨ておむつ１においては、上述したようにレッグ部弾性部材８１及び胴周囲部弾性部材９が、吸収体４が存在する部位の少なくとも中央部に弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で存在していないため、パンツが弓状になる現象が解消され、しかも、一対の立体ギャザー６，６の固定端６２，６２の位置をレッグ部弾性部材８１が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりもおむつ１の幅方向中央側（幅方向の内方側）としてあるため、一対の立体ギャザー６，６が、着用者の肌にフィットするように良好に起立し、排泄物の移動を阻止する立体障壁として充分にその機能を発揮する。

本実施形態の使い捨ておむつ１においては、一対の立体ギャザー６，６の固定端６２，６２が、それぞれ、胴周囲部Ｄに配された胴周囲部弾性部材９が弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で配設されている部位よりも吸収性物品の幅方向中央側に位置しており、そのため、胴周囲部Ｄにおいても、優れた立体ギャザー６，６の起立性を得ることができ、一層漏れ防止性能に優れたおむつとなっている。

本使い捨ておむつ１においては、レッグ部弾性部材８１及び胴周囲部弾性部材９が、吸収体４が存在する部位の少なくとも中央部に弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で存在していないため、上述した吸収体の幅狭化に伴う吸収性能の低下が解消される。特に各材料と複合化された際でも弾性伸縮性の低下が少ないレッグ部弾性部材が吸収体に及ぼす影響はかなり大きいので、立体ギャザーの固定端の位置を、レッグ部弾性部材８１が弾性伸縮性が発現する部位の内側に位置させることで、その影響が回避され、立体ギャザーがきちんと起立することで、左右の立体ギャザー間に大きな排泄物保持用のポケットＰが形成される。

これに対して、仮に、レッグ部弾性部材８１及び胴周囲部弾性部材９が、吸収体４と重なる部分にも弾性伸縮性を発現する状態で連続的に存在すると、吸収体４の幅が弾性部材の影響で狭くなり、吸収体４の両側縁部近傍に立体ギャザーが存在する場合、この吸収体幅の幅狭化に伴って、この立体ギャザーも幅方向内側に寄りやすくなる。その結果、排泄物保持用のポケットが小さくなり、特に横寝状態での吸収性能が低下する。

また、本使い捨ておむつ１においては、ウエスト部弾性部材７１が、ウエスト開口部７に、その周縁部全周に亘って実質的に連続したギャザーを形成するように配されており、そのウエスト部弾性部材７１の伸長応力や伸長率などほぼ均一とすることができ、そのため、装着しやすく、装着者を圧迫することなく、よりフィット性に優れたものとなっている。
【００３６】
尚、特開平２−４３６４号公報には、本体の背側部分と腹側部分とを接続するサイド部分に伸縮性のサイドパネルを設け、本体のウエスト開口部に弾性部材を配置したパンツ型おむつが開示されているが、このサイドパネルタイプのパンツ型おむつは、胴開口部においてはその弾性パネルを全周にわたって配設できず、胴開口部は連続的に均一の弾性伸縮性を発現しない。仮にパネル以外の吸収体を配している部位に、弾性体をある伸長率で配設しても、胴開口周囲部の応力や伸長率などは均一ではなく、部分的に装着者に対して圧迫を与えたり、ズレ落ちの原因になったりする。

本実施形態の使い捨ておむつ１の構成部材の形成材料について説明する。
表面シート２、裏面シート３、吸収体４、外層体５、立体ギャザー６形成用のシート材６４等の形成材料としては、従来、使い捨ておむつ等に用いられるものを特に制限なく用いることができる。
