【発明が属する技術分野】
この発明は、カラオケホスト装置が通信網を介して多数のカラオケ演奏装置を管理する通信カラオケシステムにおいて、カラオケの演奏場面に応じたＢＧＭを流す技術に関する。

【従来の技術】
カラオケパブのようないわゆるナイト店では、利用客は店の人や他の客との会話を楽しんだりカラオケを楽しんだりする。カラオケボックスなどとは異なり、見知らぬ他人と空間を共有するのであって、同じ空間内には会話を楽しむ客もいればカラオケを楽しむ客もいる。つまり、利用客にとってカラオケは楽しみの一つに過ぎず、カラオケを歌うことだけを目的とする人は多くは来店しない。したがって、他の利用客と競って演奏予約を入れるというわけではなく、つぎつぎとカラオケが演奏されるという状況にはなりにくい。

そのような場面において、カラオケ演奏の合間にＢＧＭを流すことは、店の雰囲気に与える影響も大きく、さまざまな工夫が凝らされている。
たとえば本出願人らにより、利用者が希望のＢＧＭを指定することのできるカラオケ装置が開発されている（特許文献１参照）。直接希望の楽曲を指定するだけでなく、ジャンルのみを指定したり新譜であることを指定してその中から自動的に選曲される方式など、さまざまな指定方式が用意されている。しかし一方には、特定の利用客に選曲させるのではジャンルや嗜好に偏りが生じる可能性が高く、また利用者が操作を面倒に感じてしまってなかなか利用してくれないといった事情もある。

これに対して、ホスト装置からお勧め曲やメドレー形式のＢＧＭ専用の楽曲データの配信を受けて、管理者が店の雰囲気や利用客の嗜好にあわせて選択する方式も知られている。（特許文献２参照）

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
特にナイト店のような店では、時間帯によって客層が大きく異なる場合が多い。客層によって店の雰囲気も大きく変わるので、管理者（店員）が利用客の嗜好に合わせて選曲する上記のような方式によっても、きめ細かく時間帯毎に選曲を変えるのは店員の負担になって難しい。時間帯だけでなく曜日や地域なども客層が異なる要因となり得る。

そこで本出願人らは、時間帯やその他の曜日・地域性などといった演奏の場面によって異なる客層のそれぞれに対して、嗜好性に沿ったＢＧＭ楽曲を全国的な統計に従って選曲することができれば便利だと考えた。そうすると、利用者の嗜好に適合する可能性が高いだけでなく、現にその場にいる利用者にとって意外な選曲がなされ、カラオケの利用促進に一役買う可能性が高い。
【０００９】
第１発明に係るカラオケホスト装置は、分説すると、つぎの事項（１）〜（12）により特定されるものである。
（１）通信手段と、記憶手段と、制御手段を備えたカラオケホスト装置であること
（２）通信手段は、通信網を介して複数のカラオケ演奏装置と個別に通信可能とすること
（３）記憶手段は、端末情報データベースと、演奏履歴データベースと、人気曲データベースを格納すること
（４）端末情報データベースは、端末ＩＤと、宛先情報と、店舗特性分類記述を対応づけたカラオケ演奏装置ごとの端末情報を集約すること
（５）店舗特性分類記述は、カラオケ演奏装置が運用されている店舗種を特定すること
（６）演奏履歴データベースは、楽曲ＩＤと、演奏日時と、端末ＩＤを対応付けした楽曲単位の演奏履歴を集約すること
（７）人気曲データベースは、複数の店舗特性分類記述のそれぞれに対応付けした時間帯別人気曲リストを集約すること
（８）時間帯別人気曲リストは、複数の時間帯記述のそれぞれに対応付けした楽曲ＩＤ集合を記述すること
（９）制御手段は、集信処理と、リスト作成処理と、ＢＧＭスケジュール送信処理を行うこと
（10）集信処理は、端末情報データベースに登録された各カラオケ演奏装置の宛先情報に基づいて各カラオケ演奏装置とそれぞれ通信し、各カラオケ演奏装置から演奏履歴を集信して演奏履歴データベースに登録更新すること
（11）リスト作成処理は、演奏履歴データベースの登録情報を処理し、店舗特性分類記述ごとに演奏履歴を分類するとともに、演奏日時に基づいて時間帯ごとに演奏回数の多い楽曲ＩＤ集合をリストアップし、複数の店舗特性分類記述のそれぞれに対応付けした時間帯別人気曲リストを作成して人気曲データベースに格納すること
（12）ＢＧＭスケジュール送信処理は、端末情報データベースに登録された各カラオケ演奏装置の宛先情報に基づいて各カラオケ演奏装置とそれぞれ通信し、通信相手のカラオケ演奏装置の店舗特性分類記述を端末情報データベースから抽出し、当該店舗特性分類記述に該当する時間帯別人気曲リストを人気曲データベースから抽出して当該カラオケ演奏装置にＢＧＭスケジュールとして送信すること

第２発明は、第１発明における「店舗特性分類記述」を「地域特性分類記述」に置換したものである。「地域特性分類記述」とは、カラオケ演奏装置が運用されている店舗の地域を特定するものである。
第３発明は、第１発明における「店舗特性分類記述」と第２発明における「地域特性分類記述」の両方を利用したものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
＝＝＝システム構成例＝＝＝
本発明の一実施例にかかる通信カラオケシステムは、各地に散在する多数のカラオケ演奏装置1が直接または宅内交換機を介して公衆電話回線２に接続し、公衆電話回線２に接続されている外部のカラオケホスト装置３と通信可能に構成されている（図１参照）。

カラオケホスト装置３は、カラオケ事業者によって運用されるコンピュータである。公衆電話回線２を介して管轄エリア内の各地に設置されている多数のカラオケ演奏装置１とデータ通信を行う。カラオケホスト装置３には多数のカラオケデータが蓄積管理されており、カラオケ演奏装置１が新たに設置された際や、カラオケの新譜データが追加登録された際などに、カラオケデータを配信する。また、各カラオケ演奏装置１から、カラオケ演奏装置１の利用状況に関する情報などを適宜な機会に集信し管理する。
特に、カラオケ演奏された楽曲の情報（演奏の履歴情報）を定期的に集信し、履歴情報に基づいて管轄エリア内（全国）における各楽曲の一定期間内（本実施例では１ヶ月とした）の演奏回数を集計して管理している。

また、カラオケホスト装置３は、通信網を介してデータ通信可能な配下のカラオケ演奏装置１についての情報を管理している。すなわち、カラオケ演奏装置１が設置（運用）されているカラオケ店舗の運用場所（住所など）や店舗種（ボックス、バー、スナックなど）などの契約情報を、カラオケ演奏装置の識別情報をキーとして集約・管理している。
さらにカラオケホスト装置３は、都道府県などの適宜な地域区分に基づいて各運用場所を分類し、運用場所と分類した地域区分（運用地域）とを対応づけて管理している。したがってカラオケホスト装置３において、カラオケ演奏装置１の識別情報に基づいて運用地域を認識できるように構成されている。
なお運用地域としては、上記の都道府県による分類に限るものではない。「ビジネス街、飲食街、住宅街、…」といった分類や「都市、漁港、農村、…」といった様々な分類が可能である。この発明は、そのような弾力的な運用を妨げるものではない。

カラオケ演奏装置１はパソコン相当のコンピュータ応用機器である。図２にカラオケ演奏装置のハードウェア主体の構成例を示している。中央処理装置１１がＣＰＵ・ＲＡＭ・ＲＯＭを含んだコンピュータ本体である。大容量の外部記憶としてハードディスク装置１２とＣＤ−ＲＯＭやＤＶＤ−ＲＯＭを再生する光ディスク装置１３と、公衆電話回線２介してカラオケホスト装置３と通信する通信制御装置１４と、利用者からの入力と利用者に向けての応答とをやりとりする利用者インタフェース装置１５と、ＭＩＤＩ形式の音楽演奏データに基づいて伴奏音楽の音響信号を生成する音楽生成装置１６と、伴奏音楽やマイクロホンからの音響信号を増幅してスピーカから発音する音響装置１７と、ＣＲＴやＬＣＤあるいはＰＤＰなどを用いたディスプレイ１８と、このディスプレイ１８に表示すべき映像データを処理する映像処理装置１９とを備えている。
なお、利用者インタフェース装置１５には、装置本体の操作パネル（キーボードとディスプレイ）が含まれるとともに、短距離無線通信手段を備えたカラオケリモコン装置が付属している。

＝＝＝カラオケデータの基本処理＝＝＝
カラオケ演奏装置１の中央処理装置１１は、利用者インタフェース装置１５を介して楽曲のリクエストを受け取ると、リクエストに含まれる予約曲情報に基づいて、適宜な記憶部に演奏予約の待ち行列を作成し、カラオケ楽曲の演奏順番を管理している。演奏予約情報の中には希望曲の楽曲識別情報（楽曲番号）が含まれている。中央処理装置１１は演奏予約情報が入力されたら、その中の楽曲番号がカラオケデータベースに登録されている演奏可能な楽曲の番号であることを確認したうえで、その楽曲番号を待ち行列に登録する。

中央処理装置１１は、待ち行列から登録順に楽曲番号を取り出し、ハードディスク装置１２に構築されたカラオケデータベースから該当する楽曲のカラオケデータを取りだして処理する。カラオケデータは、楽曲番号をキーとして、ＭＩＤＩデータやＡＤＰＣＭデータなどで表現された伴奏音楽の起源となる音楽演奏データと、伴奏音楽に同期した歌詞字幕を表示するための歌詞字幕データと、伴奏音楽の出力期間に表示すべき映像番組を直接または間接に指定する映像選択記述子などが対応づけられたデータ群である。

＝＝＝各種人気楽曲リストの作成＝＝＝
本実施例に係るカラオケ演奏装置１は、カラオケ演奏処理を済ませた楽曲の情報を蓄積し、履歴情報として記憶する。カラオケ演奏の履歴情報には、カラオケ演奏した楽曲の楽曲番号の他に、演奏した日時（日付、曜日、時刻）の情報が含まれる。カラオケホスト装置３との適宜な通信の機会には、これらの履歴情報に自身のカラオケ演奏装置１の識別情報を付帯して送信する。

カラオケホスト装置３は、配下の各カラオケ演奏装置１から履歴情報を受信すると、演奏時刻に基づいて所定の時間帯に分類し、演奏された各楽曲について適宜に以下の手順▲１▼〜▲４▼のいずれかによって集計して各種の人気楽曲リストを作成する。
なお、いずれの手順による人気楽曲リストを作成するかは、カラオケホスト装置３が適宜に決定することができる。

▲１▼時間帯別人気楽曲リストの作成
演奏履歴を時間帯別に集計し、時間帯別に演奏回数が多い（演奏頻度が高い）順に所定数の上位曲（本実施例では１００曲）からなる人気楽曲リストを作成する（図３参照）。
作成した時間帯別人気楽曲リストは、カラオケデータ配信時などの適宜な通信の機会に各カラオケ演奏装置１に配信する。

▲２▼曜日・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの作成
演奏履歴を、時間帯および曜日の組み合わせに基づいて集計する。各曜日の各時間帯についてそれぞれ集計し、上記▲１▼の手順と同様にして、それぞれ演奏回数が多い順に上位１００曲の人気楽曲リストを作成する（図４参照）。
作成した曜日・時間帯別人気楽曲リストは、上記▲１▼の場合と同様に、適宜な通信の機会に各カラオケ演奏装置１に配信する。

▲３▼店舗種・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの作成
演奏履歴を、時間帯およびカラオケ店舗の種類との組み合わせに基づいて集計する。カラオケホスト装置１は、カラオケ演奏装置１の識別情報に基づいて運用店舗の店舗種を認識し、店舗種別に各時間帯について集計し、上記▲１▼の手順と同様にして、それぞれ演奏回数が多い順に上位１００曲の人気楽曲リストを作成する（図５参照）。
カラオケホスト装置３は、以上のようにして作成した店舗種・時間帯別人気楽曲リストを適宜にカラオケ演奏装置１に配信する。例えばカラオケデータ配信時などに合わせて配信する。
なお、集計した店舗種・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの全てを配下の全カラオケ演奏装置１に一律に配信することもできるが、配信先のカラオケ演奏装置１の店舗種に応じた人気楽曲リストをカラオケホスト装置３にて抽出して送信することもできる。

▲４▼地域・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの作成
演奏履歴を、時間帯およびカラオケ演奏装置１の運用地域の組み合わせに基づいて集計する。カラオケホスト装置３は、カラオケ演奏装置１の識別情報に基づいて運用地域を認識し、地域別に各時間帯について集計し、上記▲３▼の手順と同様にして、それぞれ演奏回数が多い順に上位１００曲の人気楽曲リストを作成する（図６参照）。
作成した地域・時間帯別人気楽曲リストは、上記▲３▼の場合と同様に、適宜な通信の機会に各カラオケ演奏装置１に配信する。
なお、集計した地域・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの全てを配下の全カラオケ演奏装置１に一律に配信することもできるが、配信先のカラオケ演奏装置１の運用地域に応じた人気楽曲リストをカラオケホスト装置３にて抽出して送信することもできる。

＝＝＝ＢＧＭ楽曲の選出＝＝＝
カラオケ演奏装置１は、利用者による演奏予約が途絶えた場合に、上述の手順により保有する各種人気楽曲リストからＢＧＭ演奏する楽曲を選出する。
例えば、カラオケホスト装置３から時間帯別人気楽曲リスト（上記▲１▼による）を受信して保有している場合には、ＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲しようとする現在時刻の情報から時間帯を決定し、保有する時間帯別人気楽曲リストの該当する欄（時間帯が一致する欄）を参照する。当該欄に対応する楽曲群の楽曲番号を取り出し、その中から適宜に選曲してＢＧＭ楽曲とする。

カラオケホスト装置３から曜日・時間帯別人気楽曲リスト（上記▲２▼による）を受信して保有している場合には、ＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲しようとする現在時刻の情報から曜日および時間帯を決定し、保有する曜日・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの該当する欄（曜日および時間帯が一致する欄）を参照する。当該欄に対応する楽曲群の楽曲番号を取り出し、その中から適宜に選曲してＢＧＭ楽曲とする。

また、カラオケホスト装置３から店舗種・時間帯別人気楽曲リスト（上記▲３▼による）を受信して保有している場合には、自カラオケ演奏装置１の運用店舗の店舗種を認識するとともに、ＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲しようとする現在時刻の情報から時間帯を決定する。そして、保有する店舗種・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの該当する欄（店舗種および時間帯が一致する欄）を参照する。当該欄に対応する楽曲群の楽曲番号を取り出し、その中から適宜に選曲してＢＧＭ楽曲とする。
なお、カラオケ演奏装置１は、運用開始時や保守作業時などの適宜な機会に、自身の運用店舗種の情報を入力され保有している。
また、カラオケホスト装置３からあらかじめ運用店舗の店舗種に合わせた人気楽曲リストを受信している場合には、▲１▼の時間帯別人気楽曲リストから選曲する場合と同様に、現在時刻の情報から時間帯を決定するだけで目的の楽曲群を特定することができる。この場合には、自カラオケ演奏端末１の運用店舗種の情報を特に保有する必要はない。

また、カラオケホスト装置３から地域・時間帯別人気楽曲リスト（上記▲４▼による）を受信して保有している場合には、自カラオケ演奏装置１の運用地域を認識するとともに、ＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲しようとする現在時刻の情報から時間帯を決定する。そして、保有する地域・時間帯別人気楽曲リストの該当する欄（地域および時間帯が一致する欄）を参照する。当該欄に対応する楽曲群の楽曲番号を取り出し、その中から適宜に選曲してＢＧＭ楽曲とする。
なお、カラオケ演奏装置１は、▲３▼による場合と同様に、運用開始時や保守作業時などの適宜な機会に、自身の運用地域の情報を入力され保有している。
また、カラオケホスト装置３からあらかじめ運用地域に合わせた人気楽曲リストを受信している場合には、▲１▼の時間帯別人気楽曲リストから選曲する場合と同様に、現在時刻の情報から時間帯を決定するだけで目的の楽曲群を特定することができる。この場合にも上記▲３▼による場合と同様に、自カラオケ演奏端末１の運用地域の情報を特に保有する必要はない。

カラオケ演奏装置１は、以上の手順によってＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲すると、カラオケ演奏と同様にして、ＢＧＭ楽曲のカラオケデータ（音楽演奏データ）を取りだして演奏処理を行う。
この際には、カラオケ演奏よりデフォルトの音量を小さくするなど、ＢＧＭ演奏専用の演奏処理方式をあらかじめ決めておくこともできる。
また、ＢＧＭ演奏の際にもカラオケデータの映像選択記述子にしたがってディスプレイに背景映像を表示することもできる。

なお、目的の楽曲群から複数曲のＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲する際には、演奏頻度の高い順に選曲することもできるし、ランダムに選曲することもできる。そして、選曲するとすぐに演奏処理する方式とすることもできるし、ＢＧＭ演奏の待ち行列に登録するようにして、登録された順にＢＧＭ演奏処理するようにすることもできる。

以上の方法によれば、そのときの客層の嗜好に合った楽曲が自動的に選曲されカラオケ演奏の合間にＢＧＭ演奏される。そのため店舗内の雰囲気を壊したり白けさせたりすることがない。利用者も特に操作をする必要はない。さらに、統計的な選曲方法によるもので特定の個人の嗜好によらないため、その場にいる利用者にとって意外な選曲がなされる場合も少なくない。したがって、カラオケの推奨楽曲としての役割をもつこともでき、意外な楽曲を歌う機会が創出され、新たな楽しみを開拓できる。そのため、カラオケ利用を促進する効果を期待できる。

＝＝＝他の実施例＝＝＝
上記の実施例においては、カラオケホスト装置３で運用店舗種や運用地域の情報を管理する方式としたが、これをカラオケホスト装置３にて管理せず、カラオケ演奏装置１が履歴情報とともに自身の運用店舗種や運用地域の情報を通知する方式にすることも可能である。この場合には、カラオケ演奏装置１を設置する際や適宜な保守作業の機会にカラオケ演奏装置１に地域や店舗種の情報を入力しておく。

上記実施例に示した時間帯・曜日・地域・店舗種の全てを組み合わせてＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲することもできる。その場合、カラオケホスト装置３にて、曜日・地域・店舗種の組み合わせのそれぞれに対する時間帯別の人気楽曲リストを作成する。カラオケ演奏装置１に対しては、地域・店舗種が該当する曜日・時間帯別人気楽曲リストを配信する。こうすれば、よりいっそうそのときの客層の嗜好を絞り込むことができ、適当なＢＧＭ楽曲を選曲することができる。

直前にカラオケ演奏された１〜数曲をＢＧＭ楽曲から除外することもできる。こうすると、演奏された楽曲をＢＧＭ演奏されることがないので、ＢＧＭ楽曲の推奨楽曲としての効果が大きくなる。

ＢＧＭ演奏中に簡単な操作を行うと演奏中のＢＧＭ楽曲をカラオケ演奏予約できるようなユーザインタフェースを設けることもできる。カラオケの推奨楽曲としての効果がさらに実効力を増す。

【発明の効果】
