【従来の技術】
従来より、市場に提供されている紙おむつは、図８に示されるように、裏面側に配置されるポリエチレン等からなる不透液性バックシート１Ａと、表面側に配置される不織布等からなる透液性トップシート２と、これら不透液性バックシート１Ａと透液性トップシート２との間に配置された吸収体３とから主に構成され、紙おむつの両側部においては、表面側に設けられた不織布等からなる立体ギャザーシート４と、その内側端縁に沿って配設された弾性伸縮部材５とにより表面側に起立する立体ギャザーＢＳが形成されているとともに、吸収体３の側縁よりも側方に延在された前記不透液性バックシート１Ａ部分と、前記立体ギャザーシート４の外側シート部分とにより吸収体３の介在しないサイドフラップ部ＳＦが形成され、かつこれらの間に複数条の糸状弾性ゴム７，７…が紙おむつの長手方向に沿って配置されることにより、前記サイドフラップ部ＳＦにひだ状の平面ギャザーが形成されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
前述した従来の紙おむつ構造の場合には、サイドフラップ部ＳＦがポリエチレン等の不透液性バックシート１Ａと不織布等からなる立体ギャザーシート４との重層構造となっており、最も汗をかき易い股間部および股間周り部分の通気性に欠けていたため、長時間装着しているとムレがひどくなり、特に夏場などは汗疹や湿疹などの原因となっていた。また、相対的に柔軟性の低いポリエチレンシートは、股間部および股間周り部分に柔らかくフィットしづらく、装着者がゴワ付き感を感じるなどの問題もあった。

他方で、種々の角度から前記吸収体３について検討してみると、吸収体３は目的の尿吸収能力を有することが必要であるところ、その尿吸収能力を高めるために吸収体３の面積を大きくすると、紙おむつの装着状態において脚が剛性を有する前記吸収体３に当たり装着感が損なわれるなどの問題が発生することが判明した。

そこで本発明の主たる第１の課題は、腰部および股間周り部分に高い通気性を確保し蒸れやあせもなどを防止するとともに、腰部および股間周りのゴワ付き感を無くし装着感およびフィット性を高めること等にある。

また第２の課題は、前記第１課題に加えて、全体として十分な尿吸収能力を持ちながら、吸収体による脚部への当たりを和らげることにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記第１の課題を解決するために本発明は、使用面側を覆うとともに、不織布よりなる透液性トップシートと、外面側を覆うバックシートとの内部に吸収体が介在され、紙おむつの両側部にほぼおむつ全長に亘って表面側に突出する立体ギャザーが形成されるとともに、前記吸収体の前後端部および両側部に前記吸収体の存在しないフラップ部が形成され、かつ背側両側端部に装着のためのファスニングテープが配設されたテープ式使い捨て紙おむつにおいて、
前記バックシートを不織布により構成するとともに、前記吸収体とバックシートとの間の実質的に前記吸収体を覆う範囲に防水フィルムを介在させ、かつこの防水フィルム外側の全周領域に不織布のみで構成されるフラップ部を形成し、
紙おむつの背側端部および腹側端部において、それぞれ前記防水フィルムを前記吸収体の上下縁部より少しだけ延在させ、該防水フィルムの延在部に重合しかつおむつ全幅に亘って、前記バックシートおよび透液性トップシートの間に中間不織布を介在するとともに、少なくとも前記紙おむつの背側端部において前記中間不織布とバックシートとの間に、紙おむつ縦方向に間隔をおいて幅方向に沿って複数本の糸状弾性ゴムを配設して背側伸縮帯を形成し、
前記ファスニングテープの基部は、前記背側伸縮帯形成領域の両側端部に固定されていることを特徴とするテープ式使い捨て紙おむつである。この場合において、前記伸縮帯の内、背側伸縮帯の幅は５０〜１００mmの範囲とし、前記腹側伸縮帯の幅は２０〜５０mmとするのが望ましい。

吸収体側部のサイドフラップ部の構造例として挙げることのできる第１例は、前記防水フィルムを吸収体の両側縁よりも若干側方に延在させて形成するとともに、前記透液性トップシートの側縁部と固着し、
前記立体ギャザーを形成する不織布シートの幅方向中間部を紙おむつ側部においておむつの長手方向に沿って固着し、この固着部より前記透液性トップシート側縁部を越えて側方に延在する不織布シート部分と、前記防水フィルム側縁部を越えて側方に延在するバックシートとにより吸収体の存在しないサイドフラップ部を形成するとともに、これらシート間に弾性伸縮部材を配置して平面ギャザーを形成することを特徴とするものである。

また第２例は、前記防水フィルムを吸収体の両側縁よりも若干側方に延在させて形成するとともに、前記透液性トップシート面に固着し、かつ透液性トップシートを前記防水フィルム固着部を越えて紙おむつの外形線位置まで延在させるとともに、バックシートと固着し、
前記立体ギャザーを形成する不織布シートの幅方向中間部を紙おむつ側部においておむつの長手方向に沿って固着し、この固着部分よりも内側部分にて前記立体ギャザーを形成し、かつ前記固着部分よりも外側部分を二重に折り返すとともに、この二重シート内部に複数本の糸状弾性ゴムを配設し起立伸縮帯を形成したことを特徴とするものである。これらの場合において、前記サイドフラップ部を形成している不織布シートとしては、肌への感触性の点で撥水処理不織布を用いるのが望ましい。

他方、前記第１課題に加え第２課題を解決するための本発明は、前記使い捨て紙おむつにおいて、吸収体はその股間部位において、両側縁が内方に括れた括れ部分を有し、吸収体の上面側を覆うと共に吸収体側縁を越えて側方に延在する上層クレープ紙と、吸収体の下面側を覆うと共に吸収体側縁を越えて側方に延在する下層クレープ紙とにより内包されるとともに、これら上層クレープ紙と下層クレープ紙との側方延在部分によりクレープ紙層による側部体液吸収領域が形成され、少なくとも紙おむつ股間部では吸収体側縁から側方に離間しかつ前記クレープ紙層による側部体液吸収領域区間内を起立端として前記立体ギャザーが形成されていることを特徴とするものである。この場合において、前記上層クレープ紙と下層クレープ紙とは、最側縁部において一方側の延在端部を他方側の延在端部に重ねて折り返し、クレープ紙の重合部を形成していることが望ましい。

本発明においては、従来の、不透液性バックシート（プラスチックシート）と不織布シートとの積層シートによって構成されているフラップ構造に代えて、エンドフラップ部およびサイドフラップ部、すなわち紙おむつの全周囲を不織布のみによって構成するようにしている。したがって、装着時に最も汗をかき易い腰部および股間周りに不透液性のプラスチックフィルムが存在しなくなるため、該部位の通気性が格段に向上するようになる。また、相対的に柔軟性に劣るプラスチックシートが無くなったため、ゴワ付き感が無くなり、装着時の感触も優れたものとなる。さらには防水フィルムは必要最小限の領域にのみ使用されることになるためその使用量が減りコスト低減が図れるようになる。

また、少なくとも紙おむつの前後端部において、紙おむつ縦方向に間隔をおいて幅方向に沿って複数本の糸状弾性ゴムを配設して伸縮帯（シャーリング）を形成するようにしているため、フィット性が向上するようになるとともに、着用時に紙おむつのズリ落ちが生じないなど装着性に優れたものとなる。さらにサイドフラップ部の前記第２例の場合には、従来の平面ギャザーに代えて、起立した伸縮帯、言わばひだ状の起立ギャザーを形成するようにしたため、確実に肌と線状または面状に接触し、横漏れを確実に防止できるようになる。

他方、吸収体を内包するクレープ紙を吸収体の側縁より側方に延在させ、このクレープ紙層上を起立端として立体ギャザーを形成することにより、全体として十分な尿吸収能力を持ちながら吸収体の面積を小さくすることができるようになり、かつ剛性のある吸収体が脚に強く当たるのを無くし、装着感およびフィット性に優れたものとすることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照しながら詳述する。

〔第１形態例〕
図１は本発明に係る紙おむつの一部破断展開図であり、図２は図１のその要部拡大展開図である。

図１において、使い捨て紙おむつは、有孔または無孔の不織布からなり使用面側を覆う透液性トップシート２と、不織布からなり紙おむつの外面を覆うとともに、おむつ両側部では後述の立体ギャザー不織布４と共にサイドフラップ部ＳＦを構成し、かつおむつ前後端部では透液性トップシート２と共にエンドフラップ部ＥＦを構成するバックシート１と、前記透液性トップシート２とバックシート１との間に介在された、綿状パルプ等からなる、たとえば砂時計形状（または長方形状等）のある程度の剛性を有する吸収体３と、前記吸収体３とバックシート１との間の実質的に吸収体３Ａを覆う範囲に配設されたポリエチレン等からなる防水フィルム９と、紙おむつの両側部に表面側に起立する立体ギャザーＢＳを形成するとともに、おむつ両側部では前記バックシート１と共にサイドフラップ部ＳＦを構成するための立体ギャザー不織布４とから主に構成されている。

前記吸収体３Ａは全体として砂時計形状を成すが、立体ギャザーＢＳの起立端位置を基準としてみると、吸収体３Ａ側縁は前記起立端位置よりも外方に位置することはなく吸収体面積の縮小化が図られている。すなわち、砂時計状というよりは、むしろ長方形状を基本として両側縁の股間相当部位に立体ギャザーＢＳの基端位置よりも内方側に側縁を有するように括れ部分３ａ、３ａが形成されている。また、前記吸収体３Ａは、クレープ紙１８によって内包されるようになっている。

前記クレープ紙１８は、詳しくは図２および図３に示されるように、吸収体３Ａの上面および非括れ部分３ａ側縁を越えて側方に延在される方形状の上層クレープ紙１８Ａと、吸収体３Ａの下面および非括れ部分３ａ側縁を越えて側方に延在される方形状の下層クレープ紙１８Ｂとから構成されるもので、最側縁部においては一方側クレープ紙（図示の例では下層クレープ紙１８Ｂ）の延在端を他方側クレープ紙（図示の例では上層クレープ紙１８Ａ）の延在端部に重ねて折り返し、クレープ紙１８Ａ、１８Ｂの重合部を形成している。

また、股間部位（括れ部分３ａ形成部位）では上層クレープ紙１８Ａと下層クレープ紙１８Ｂとの側方延在部分によりクレープ紙１８Ａ、１８Ｂ層による側部体液吸収領域Ｐ_Ｓが形成されるとともに、立体ギャザーＢＳは吸収体３Ａ側縁から側方に離間しかつ前記クレープ紙１８Ａ、１８Ｂ層による側部体液吸収領域Ｐ_Ｓ区間内を起立端として形成されている。

かかる吸収体形態の利点は次のとおりである。すなわち、第１に、吸収体３Ａは上層および下層クレープ紙１８Ａ、１８Ｂにより包み込まれているため、吸収体３Ａが少なくとも幅方向外側にはみ出さない。

第２に、吸収体３Ａの幅を狭くしたとしても、上層および下層クレープ紙１８Ａ、１８Ｂが存在する幅領域（側部体液吸収領域Ｐ_Ｓ）においては尿の吸収性が確保される。しかるに、括れ部分３ａ、３ａの外方の上層および下層クレープ紙１８Ａ、１８Ｂのみが存在する部分においては、剛性がなく易変形性を示すので、紙おむつの装着に際して脚に当たる部分が容易に変形して装着感が向上するとともに、吸収体３Ａが括れ部分３ａを有することで脚の動きの自由度が大きく良好なフィット性を示すようになる。

第３に、図２から判るように、股間部では立体ギャザーＢＳの起立端が吸収体３Ａ側縁から離間して形成されているため、この括れ部分３ａが軟便を堰き止める一時的なポケットとなり、その尿分を上層および下層クレープ紙１８Ａ、１８Ｂの内、主に上層クレープ紙１８Ａに拡散させるようにし、幅方向中間または長手方向に拡散した尿はやがて吸収体３Ａに吸収されるようになる。

このように、立体ギャザーＢＳの起立端を従来のように、吸収体３Ａの幅内に位置させる必要はないから、立体ギャザーＢＳの起立端をより外方に位置させることができ、その結果、両側の立体ギャザーＢＳの自由端部の離間間隔を拡げることができ、もって着用者の過度の幅方向の動きがあったとしても、尿および軟便を確実に捕捉できるようになる。

他方、本例では通常、おむつ外面を覆うために用いられているポリエチレン等による不透液性バックシート１Ａ（図８参照）に代えて、不織布からなるバックシート１が用いられているため、吸収体３Ａが吸収した体液が外面側に滲み出すのを防止するため、吸収体３とバックシート１との間にポリエチレン等からなる防水フィルム９が介在されている。

前記防水フィルム９は、吸収体３Ａを覆う範囲で方形状とされ、かつ両側縁部が吸収体３側縁よりも若干側方に延在して形成され（この部分を側方延在部分Ｋ_Ｓという。）、この側方延在部分Ｋ_Ｓにおいて透液性トップシート２とホットメルト接着剤などにより固着されている。また、前記バックシート１は、前記防水フィルム９の外面側に積層され、紙おむつの外形線を成す位置まで延在され、後述の立体ギャザー不織布４とともにサイドフラップ部ＳＦを形成している。

前記防水フィルム９としては、近年、ムレ防止の点から透湿性を有するものが好適に用いられる。この遮水・透湿性シートは、たとえばポリエチレンやポリプロピレン等のオレフィン樹脂中に無機充填材を溶融混練してシートを形成した後、一軸または二軸方向に遠心することにより得られる微多孔性シートであり、仮にシート厚が同じであれば無孔シートよりも剛性が低下するため、柔軟性の点で勝るものとなる。

一方、立体ギャザー不織布４は、前記側方延在部分Ｋ_Ｓから吸収体３側縁に跨る領域において幅方向中間部が紙おむつの略長手方向に沿って固着され、この固着部よりも側方に延在する不織布シート部分が前記バックシート１と共に不織布のみで構成されるサイドフラップＳＦを構成している。このサイドフラップ部ＳＦにおいては、前記立体ギャザー不織布４とバックシート１との間に紙おむつ長手方向に複数本、図示の例では３本の弾性伸縮部材７，７…が配設され、平面ギャザーＧＫが形成されている。この平面ギャザーＧＫは、着用した際に紙おむつをきっちりと脚周りにて保持することにより、フィット性を向上させ紙おむつがずれるのを防止する。また、紙おむつがきっちりと保持されることにより前記立体ギャザーＢＳが裏返ったりすることなく脚周りに沿って起立した状態で装着されるようになる。

他方、前記立体ギャザー不織布４の前記固着部よりも内方側の不織布シート部分によって表面側に起立する立体ギャザーＢＳが形成されている。この立体ギャザーＢＳは、吸収体３の側縁近傍位置に起立端を有し、その先端が紙おむつ長手方向に沿って二重に折り返され、この折り返し部の内方に１本の糸状弾性ゴム５を、または必要により複数本の糸状弾性ゴムを配設することにより、その伸縮力を利用して立体ギャザーＢＳを起立させるようになっている。前記糸状弾性ゴム５としては、通常使用されるスチレン系ゴム、オレフィン系ゴム、ウレタン系ゴム、エステル系ゴム、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレン、ポリスチレン、スチレンブタジエン、シリコン、ポリエステル等の素材を用いることができる。

前述のバックシート１、透液性トップシート２および立体ギャザー不織布４を構成する素材繊維としては、ポリエチレンまたはポリプロピレン等のオレフィン系、ポリエステル系、アミド系等の合成繊維の他、レーヨンやキュプラ等の再生繊維、綿等の天然繊維とすることができ、スパンボンド法、サーマルボンド法、メルトブローン法、ニードルパンチ法等の適宜の加工方法に得られた不織布を用いることができるが、特にサイドフラップ部ＳＦを構成する前記立体ギャザー不織布４およびバックシート１としては、ゴワ付き感を無くすとともに、ムレを防止するために、坪量を抑えて通気性に優れた不織布を用いるのがよい。前記通気度を満足する不織布を得るためには、概ね坪量を１８〜２３g/m^２として作製された不織布が好適に使用される。

本使い捨て紙おむつでは、サイドフラップ部ＳＦを不織布により構成しているため該部分が透液性を有するようになるが、極力透液性を低下させ体液の透過を防止するとともに、カブレを防止しかつ肌への感触性（ドライ感）を高めるために、シリコン系、パラフィン金属系、アルキルクロミッククロイド系撥水剤などをコーティングした撥水処理不織布を用いるのが望ましい。

一方、紙おむつの背側では、図４に示されるように、前記防水フィルム９を吸収体３Ａの上下縁部より少しだけ延在させ、この防水フィルム９の外側領域に、前記バックシート１および透液性トップシート２と、これら両不織布シート１，２間に介在される中間不織布１０とによるエンドフラップ部ＥＦが形成され、前記中間不織布１０とバックシート１との間に、紙おむつ縦方向に間隔をおいて幅方向に沿って複数本、図示の例では７本の糸状弾性ゴム１１，１１…を配設して伸縮帯８Ａを形成している。前記中間不織布１０は、製造工程では透液性トップシート２が張られる前に、バックシート１との間に糸状弾性ゴム１１，１１…を配設固定する役目と、背側ウエスト部に厚みを持たせることにより装着感を向上するのに寄与している。

前記背側伸縮帯８Ａの幅寸法Ｗ_Ｂは、フィット性を確保するとともに、おむつのズレ落ちを確実に防止するために５０〜１００mmの範囲とするのが望ましい。より具体的には、糸状弾性ゴム１１，１１…の間隔を３〜２０mmの範囲とするとともに、伸縮率は１５０〜２５０％、弾性強度は５０〜４００ｇとして、前記幅寸法Ｗ_Ｂの範囲に伸縮帯８Ａを構成するのが望ましい。

他方、紙おむつの腹側については、幅寸法Ｗ_Ｆの違い以外については同様の構成とされる。具体的には図５に示されるように、前記防水フィルム９を紙おむつ外縁まで延在させることなく、吸収体３Ａの上下縁部より少しだけ延在させ、この防水フィルム９の外側領域に、前記バックシート１および透液性トップシート２と、これら両不織布シート１，２間に介在される中間不織布１２とによるエンドフラップ部ＥＦが形成され、前記中間不織布１２とバックシート１との間に、紙おむつ縦方向に間隔をおいて幅方向に沿って複数本の、図示の例では２本の糸状弾性ゴム１３，１３…を配設して伸縮帯８Ｂを形成するようにしている。

前記腹側伸縮帯８Ｂの幅寸法Ｗ_Ｆは、フィット性を確保するとともに、おむつのズレ落ちを確実に防止するために２０〜５０mmの範囲とするのが望ましい。より具体的には、糸状弾性ゴム１３，１３…の間隔を３〜２０mmの範囲とするとともに、伸縮率は１５０〜２５０％、弾性強度は５０〜４００ｇとして、前記幅寸法Ｗ_Ｆの範囲に伸縮帯８Ｂを構成するのが望ましい。

次いで、図６及び図７に示される第２形態例は、サイドフラップ部ＳＦの構造の変形例を示したものである。

前記起立伸縮帯ＢＫは、従来の平面ギャザーＢＫに代わるひだ状のギャザーであり、肌に対して線状または面状に確実に接触することにより、仮に立体ギャザーＢＳを越えて漏れ出す排液等があったとしても、ここで確実にブロックし外に漏れ出るのを防止するようになる。

以上、テープ止着型紙おむつを例に採り本発明を説明したが、本発明はパンツ型紙おむつに対しても全く同様に適用することができる。

【発明の効果】
以上詳説のとおり本発明によれば、腰部および股間周り部分に高い通気性を確保し蒸れやあせもなどを防止するとともに、腰部および股間周りのゴワ付き感を無くし装着感およびフィット性を高めることができるようになる。

また、エンドフラップ部では所定幅で伸縮帯を形成するようにしたため、フィット性が向上するようになるとともに、着用時に紙おむつのズリ落ちが生じないなど装着性に優れたものとなる。

さらには、少なくとも股間部において吸収体を内包するクレープ紙を吸収体の側縁より側方に延在させ、このクレープ紙層上を起立端として立体ギャザーを形成するようにしたため、全体として十分な尿吸収能力を持ちながら、吸収体による脚部への当たりを和らげることが可能となり、この点においても装着感およびフィット性に優れたものとなる。
