【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、液透過性の表面材及び液不透過性の裏面材と、その間に介装される液保持性の吸液体からなる生理用ナプキン、失禁パッド、おむつ等の吸収性物品の製造方法及び製造装置に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の吸収性物品として、実開平2−88625 号公報、特開平9−108262号公報に記載の如く、表面材と吸液体の積層部の中央吸収領域に溝を成形し、経血の漏れを防止可能としたものが提案されている。上記溝は、一般に、加圧ロールに成形突部を設けて圧搾し成形されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
然しながら、従来技術には以下の問題があった。
▲1▼溝の大きさや形状又は材料の選択によって、溝部の圧着が不十分となり、溝が浅くなったり、表面材が吸液体から剥離する浮きを生じ、漏れ防止性能や装着性が低下することがあった。

▲2▼上記▲1▼の溝の深さ、表面材の浮きの問題を改善するため、加圧ロールの圧力や温度を高くしたり、または加圧ロールの成形突部の高さを高くすると、表面材に大きな剪断力がかかったり、表面材の溶融により、表面材の切れが発生し、上記▲1▼と同様に漏れ防止性能や装着性が低下することがあった。

本発明の課題は、吸収性物品において、表面材と吸液体の積層部に溝を形成するに際し、表面材の切れや浮きを生ずることなく安定した経血の漏れ防止性能や装着性を良好にすることにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1に記載の本発明は、液透過性の表面材と、液不透過性の裏面材と、該表面材及び該裏面材の間に介装される液保持性の吸液体からなる吸収性物品の製造方法において、前記吸収性物品は、表面材及び吸液体に側壁部と底部からなる溝を有しており、前記溝は、表面材及び吸液体を加圧ロールの成形突部で圧搾することにより成形されるものであって、前記成形突部は突部の中で周辺より高さが高く、溝の底部を形成する高圧搾部と、前記高圧搾部より低い段差をなす低圧搾部とからなり、前記高圧搾部で溝の底部を形成し、且つ前記低圧搾部で溝の側壁部を成形するようにしたものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以上、図面を参照して本発明の一実施形態として、生理用ナプキンの製造方法について説明する。
生理用ナプキン10は、図2〜図4に示す如く、液透過性の表面材11と液不透過性の裏面材13と、それらの表面材11と裏面材13の間に介装される液保持性の吸液体12からなり、表面材11と吸液体12の積層部における中央吸収領域の周囲に略長円状の溝14を備え、この溝14により経血の横漏れを防止可能としている。溝14は、側壁部14aと底部14bからなる。尚、裏面材13の中央部及び左右のウィング15の非肌当接面側には下着に装着するためのずれ止め剤16が設けられている。図3(C)において17はホットメルトである。

生理用ナプキン10の生産工程は以下の如くなされる。
(1) 表面材11と吸液体12を図1の溝成形装置20に積層状態で供給する(図3(A))。

(2) 溝成形装置20の上下一対の加圧ロール21、22で表面材11と吸液体12を挟圧して圧着する。このとき、加圧ロール21の成形突部30で表面材11と吸液体12を圧搾し、表面材11と吸液体12に溝14を成形する(図3(B))。

(3) 表面材11の両側部で吸液体12の両側部をくるみ、吸液体12の背面側に位置する表面材11の両端部に裏面材13を接合する(図3(C))。

然るに、溝成形装置20を構成する加圧ロール21の成形突部30は、図5(A)に示す如く、溝14の後部A(女性局部の後方相当部)、前部B(女性局部の前方相当部)、中間部Cのそれぞれに対応する部分の形態を成形突部31、32、33としている。図5(B)の成形突部31は図5(A)のA−A線に沿う矢視図である。

成形突部31は図5(B)に示す如く、溝14の後部Aの幅方向に低圧搾部31A、高圧搾部31B、低圧搾部31Cを備える。即ち、成形突部31は、加圧ロール21の回転方向の進み側(表面材11に対する入側)で溝14の側壁部14aを成形する部分を低圧搾部31Aとし、溝14の底部14bを成形する部分を高圧搾部31Bとし、加圧ロール21の回転方向の反進み側(表面材11に対する出側)で溝14の側壁部14aを成形する部分を低圧搾部31Cとし、低圧搾部31A、31Cが高圧搾部31Bに対して低い段差をなすものとしている。低圧搾部31A、31Cの長さXは 0.5〜10mm、好ましくは 0.5〜5mm である。低圧搾部31A、31Cの角部はRもしくはC面取が施される。低圧搾部31Cは必須でなく、高圧搾部31Bの出側成形面は図5(B)の鎖線の如くのテーパ面としても良い。

尚、成形突部31は、溝14の底部14bの長手連続方向で高圧搾部31Bを断続配置し、その長手連続方向では高圧搾部31Bと低圧搾部31Dとを交互に配置し、結果として溝14の底部14bの長手連続方向には高圧搾底部と低圧搾底部とを交互に配置するものとしている。

成形突部32も、成形突部31と同様に、溝14の前部Bの幅方向に低圧搾部32A、高圧搾部32B、低圧搾部32Cを備える。

成形突部33も、成形突部31と同様に、溝14の中間部Cの幅方向に低圧搾部33A、高圧搾部33B、低圧搾部33Cを備える。

成形突部30において、成形突部31の低圧搾部31A、31C、成形突部32の低圧搾部32A、32C、成形突部33の低圧搾部33A、33Cは互いに同一高さをなし、成形突部31の高圧搾部31B、成形突部32の高圧搾部32B、成形突部33の高圧搾部33Aは互いに同一高さをなす。

従って、本実施形態によれば、以下の作用がある。

また、本発明の実施において、加圧ロールの成形突部における溝の底部を成形する高圧搾部よりロール回転方向の進み側及び/又は反進み側に設けられる低圧搾部は、 1段の段差でなく、複数段の段差をなすものであっても良い。

また、本発明の実施において、低圧搾部は、回転方向の進み側に存在していることが好ましく、全周に存在していることが一層好ましい。ロールの成形突部と吸収性物品の接触面積が大きくなる溝長手連続方向と加圧ロールの回転軸とが平行もしくは平行に近くなる場合には特に、安定した溝形状を得るために、低圧搾部が回転方向の進み側に存在していることが好ましい。

また、本発明の実施において、加圧ロールの温度は、シールかすやバリ等による溝成形外観への影響、また、高速生産性の点で50〜250 ℃が好ましく、60〜200 ℃が一層好ましい。

以上のように本発明によれば、吸収性物品において、表面材と吸液体の積層部に溝を形成するに際し、表面材の切れや浮きを生ずることなく安定した経血の漏れ防止性能や装着性を良好にすることができる。
