By the way, for example, in the case of a surface processed by a lathe, a wave generated by the cutting edge of the cutting tool remains on the surface. Since a compressive stress remains in the coating, if there are such peaks and valleys on the surface, the stress is concentrated on the portion and causes peeling. Grinding may be performed with a grindstone to solve this problem. However, even when grinding, the metal surface is machined, so that the abrasive grains contained in the grindstone are cut into the metal surface. At that time, if it is enlarged, a groove is formed, and there is an unstable metal piece such as a burr which easily falls off.

In order to remove such unstable substances, processing by so-called sandblasting, in which fine sand or the like is mixed into compressed air and sprayed, has been conventionally performed. However, in this method, if an unstable substance is removed, the surface is roughened and unevenness occurs. When coating is performed on these irregularities, stress concentrates on this portion as described above, and becomes a base point of peeling.

However, the spherical shape is inferior in the function of removing unstable metal pieces, and the surface is hit with a ball, so that the remaining unstable material is embedded in the surface layer. This falls off when used as a product after coating. As described above, in any of the conventional processing methods, a satisfactory surface state could not be produced.

In kgf / cm2 ~3kgf / cm2 sprayed on the metal surface. The sharp corners present on the metal surface are rounded and smoothed to fill the small holes and to prevent stress from concentrating in the coated ceramic and becoming a starting point for exfoliation. The above treatment is sufficient for coating by a chemical vapor deposition method in which a coating film is diffused into a metal surface layer. However, in the physical vapor deposition method in which crystals precipitate and develop on the metal surface, the surface treated with powder A and then treated with powder B (hereinafter referred to as “surface A / B”) does not have a nucleus serving as a starting point of the crystal. Improper surface.

This surface condition (hereinafter referred to as “surface A / B / A”) is obtained by mixing powder A with compressed air and applying a pressure of 0.2 kgf / cm2 to 1.5 kgf /
Obtained by spraying the surface in cm2 (surface A / B / A). The surface A / B / A has innumerable irregularities having a size of 1 μm to 5 μm, but these irregularities only become nuclei of crystals, and are not so large as to concentrate stress after coating and cause peeling. Irregularities such as the concentration of stress existing at the time of non-treatment are treated when making the surface A / B, and the surface A / B is processed.
B / A is the most suitable surface for coating.

In this figure, many grooves are formed by machining at an unprocessed edge portion which has been machined, and burrs 2 are generated due to stress applied during machining. The surface is provided with countless irregularities 4 having a size of 1 μm to 5 μm, and the sharp corners or unstable burrs which are present in FIG. 1 where stress is concentrated are removed. Although the above description assumes that a metal surface is coated, the metal surface treatment according to the present invention is also effective when plating that requires a similar surface state. In addition, the present invention is also effective for tools that require mechanical strength to be broken based on burrs and segregated substances. Further, the present invention is also effective for a plastic mold in which the resin is held in the burrs and the discharge white layer and peeling failure occurs.

Further, in the case of a coating requiring a crystal nucleus, a process for intentionally providing irregularities serving as nuclei on the smoothed surface is performed. Therefore, at the time of coating, the coating film of the base material having high mechanical strength can be processed with a high crystal density. This makes it possible to obtain a metal material in a surface state having a high adhesion strength of a film having high hardness.
