(作用) 本発明にかかるプラスチックボトルの製造装置によれ

形体を形成した後、底部延伸部を上方に変位させること
により、プラスチックボトル成形体の底部を上方若しく
は下方に2段階に延伸させることが出来る。プラスチッ
ク成形体は延伸される部分が延伸されない部分よりも延
伸方向への強度が向上するので、プラスチックボトルの
底部に上下方向に延伸された複数の縦壁部が形成される
ことにより、ボトルの底部の強度が従来よりも向上す

部7の円形開口部7aに摺動自在に保持され、支持装置の
図示しない第2押し出しピンによって上下方向に変位す

ボトル成形体3aが加熱状態にある時に、第1延伸部7と
第2延伸部8をキャビティ内部に進出させる。本実施例
では、まず第1延伸部7がプラスチックボトル成形体3a
の底部3bを押し出し、その底部3bの加熱状態のプラスチ
ックを延伸させる。次ぎに、第2延伸部8をキャビティ
内部に進出させてプラスチックボトル成形体3aの押し出
された部分の中央部を更に延ばす。これによって、プラ
スチックボトル成形体3aの底部3bに2つの縦壁部3c,3d
が形成され、プラスチックボトル成形体3aの底部3bが十
分に延伸される。プラスチックボトル成形体3aの底部3b
が2段階に延びることによって、プラスチックボトル成
形体3aの底部3bから非延伸部分が解消される。プラスチ
ックボトル成形体3aの底部3bを2段階に延伸させたら、
分割金型1a,1b及び底部形成金型1cを冷却する。プラス
チックボトル成形体3aがほぼ固まったら、分割金型1a,1

は、以上説明したように構成したので、プラスチックボ
トルの底部に複数の縦壁部が形成されるために、内容物
を充填したプラスチックボトルを落下させたときの耐久
性が向上するという非常に有益な効果を得ることができ
