When the puncture needle unit is incorporated in the indwelling needle unit and the distal end portion of the puncture needle is inserted into a blood vessel, the convex portion of the leaf spring is pressed against the tubular body while holding the puncture needle unit. When the leaf spring is extended, the leaf spring pushes the flange to advance the indwelling needle unit, and the distal end portion of the indwelling needle is propelled for a predetermined length in the blood vessel by the guidance of the puncture needle. A vein indwelling needle assembly characterized by that.
