The present invention relates to an artificial muscle having a two-layer structure that can be made closer to human muscular movement with excellent diversity by making the artificial muscle into a two-layer structure and taking advantage of the respective characteristics.

Traditionally, there is a single actuator used for artificial muscles, and various types of artificial muscle materials have been used as operating principles.

Therefore, there are the following problems.
(B) Since only a single actuator was used, no matter what superior artificial muscle material was used, there are two types of human muscular structures, red and white, so it is similar to that It was difficult to get it to work.
The present invention has been made to solve these problems.

The artificial muscle has a two-layer structure, and the first layer is equipped with an actuator that uses polymer gel and other materials that can be easily expanded and contracted for everyday use, and the second layer is an electrostrictive polymer with excellent stress and operating speed for emergency use. By providing an actuator using this material, it is possible to use the human muscle structure close to the movement of the red and white muscles by separating the ones used in normal times and those used in emergency situations. A two-layered artificial muscle characterized by the above.

By using the two actuators in combination and controlling the output ratio according to the application, it is possible to perform a variety of muscle movements. A two-layered artificial muscle characterized by the above.

The artificial muscle has a two-layer structure, and the first layer is provided with an actuator that uses a polymer gel or other material that can easily expand and contract, and the second layer uses a material such as an electrostrictive polymer that excels in generated stress and operating speed. By providing an actuator, it is possible to use it close to the movement of the red and white muscles of the human muscular structure by separating them from those used in normal and emergency situations. Moreover, by using them in combination, it is possible to approach human muscle movement with excellent diversity by controlling the output ratio according to the application. Also, the second-layer actuator using materials such as electrostrictive polymer has good sclerosis because it has operating speed, generated stress and strength of shrinkage, so it can protect against impact from outside. The effect that it is easy is also acquired.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below.
(A) In order to make a two-layer structure, a boundary film (1) and an outer film (2) using a material such as rubber resistant to expansion and contraction are provided.
(B) An electrode A (4) is provided on the first-layer actuator (3) using a material such as a polymer gel that is easily expanded and contracted.
(C) An electrode B (6) is provided on the second layer actuator (5) using a material such as an electrostrictive polymer excellent in generated stress and operating speed.
(D) The electrode A (4) and the electrode B (6) are connected to a control device, a power source and the like.
(E) A connection joint (9) resistant to expansion and contraction is provided and fixed between the bone part (7) and the artificial muscle body (8).
The present invention is configured as described above. When this is used, when it is used in a normal state, the first actuator (3) is electrically connected to the first actuator (3) via the electrode A (4) from the control device and the power source. Gives the muscle movements by stimulating. When used in an emergency, the muscular motion is stronger than that used in normal situations by applying electrical stimulation to the actuator (5) of the second layer through the electrode B (6) from the control device and the power source. Let
As an example of the application, when the maximum stress is required, the first-layer actuator (3) and the second-layer actuator are supplied from the control device and the power source through the electrode A (4) and the electrode B (6). By using (5) together, the maximum muscle movement is caused by this artificial muscle.
