The editing order information may be additionally written into a recording medium in which an image file to be edited is recorded, or may be directly written down on an order form. In this case, a user directly inputs the editing order information written in the order form into the recording apparatus 10. 近時、ＤＳＣ（Ｄｉｇｉｔａｌ Ｓｔｉｌｌ Ｃａｍｅｒａ）、デジタルビデオカメラ及びＤＶＤ（Ｄｉｇｉｔａｌ Ｖｅｒｓａｔｉｌｅ Ｄｉｓｋ）カメラ等により作成された動画や静止画等のファイル（以下、画像ファイルという。）を編集する編集処理や、当該編集済みファイルをプリントしたりＣＤ−ＲＷ（ＣｏｍｐａｃｔＤｉｓｋ−ＲｅＷｒｉｔａｂｌｅ）やＤＶＤ−ＲＷ（ＤＶＤ−ＲｅＷｒｉｔａｂｌｅ）へ書き込む等の記録処理がＰＣ（Ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌ Ｃｏｍｐｕｔｅｒ）等を用いて行える（例えば、特許文献１参照。）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、上記したようなＰＣ等を用いた画像ファイルに対する編集や記録処理は、ＰＣの操作についての知識が豊富な一部のユーザのみが可能であり、それ以外のユーザにとっては困難である。
特に、ＰＣ操作についての知識が豊富なユーザでなければ、作成した動画から特定の一場面を静止画として抽出（以下、キャプチャーという場合がある。）するといった編集処理は困難である。
更に、各種メモリカードやＣＤ−Ｒ等の記録メディアに記録された静止画をプリントして提供するシステムは既に実現されているが、記録メディアに記録された動画から特定の一場面を静止画として抽出し、当該抽出した静止画をプリントして提供するシステムは未だ実現されていない。

本発明の課題は、デジタルビデオカメラ等を用いて作成された動画から特定の一場面を容易に抽出してプリントするシステムを実現することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するため、請求項１に記載の発明は、
動画から静止画を抽出するための編集指示を含む編集注文情報に基づいて前記動画から静止画を抽出し、当該抽出した静止画をプリンタにプリントさせるよう制御する制御部を備えたことを特徴とする。

また、上記課題を解決するため、請求項２に記載の発明は、
動画と該動画から静止画を抽出するための編集指示を含む編集注文情報とが共に記録された記録メディアから前記動画及び編集注文情報を読み出し、該読み出した編集注文情報に基づいて前記読み出した動画から静止画を抽出し、該抽出した静止画をプリンタにプリントさせるよう制御する制御部を備えたことを特徴とする。

従って、記録装置を用いることにより、特にＰＣの操作に不慣れなユーザであっても、入力した編集注文情報に基づき動画から静止画を容易に抽出してプリントできるので、子供からお年よりまであらゆる人々が利用でき、高い汎用性が実現できる。
また、記録装置が、駅、マーケット、レストラン等の公共の場に設置されれば、ユーザは通学や会社帰り等に容易に動画から静止画をプリントするシステムを利用できるので便利である。
また、編集注文情報と当該編集注文の対象となる動画とを一枚の記録メディアにまとめて記録しておけば、当該記録メディアを記録装置にセットするだけで所望の静止画のプリントが容易に得られるので非常に便利である。
また、一枚の記録メディアに当該記録メディアの容量一杯に動画が記録されていても、他の別の記録メディアに編集注文情報が記録できるので、便利である。また、抽出対象となる静止画を指定するための編集注文情報は注文情報作成プログラムが実行されることにより作成できるので、ＰＣに限らず、この注文情報作成プログラムを実行できる機器であればゲーム機やＤＶＤプレーヤ等でも編集注文情報が作成できる。特に、当該動画が記録された記録メディアに注文情報作成プログラムが記録されていれば、予め注文情報作成プログラムがインストールされた機器を用いる必要がないので便利である。
また、編集注文情報はオンラインによりプリントサービス業者等に直接送信できるので、ユーザは、編集注文情報だけでなく当該編集注文の対象となる動画もプリントサービス業者にオンライン送信すれば、自宅等からでも動画から静止画をプリントするシステムを利用できるので便利である。

図面を参照して本発明を適用した記録装置１０について詳細に説明する。

まず、図１を参照して、記録装置１０の構成について説明する。
図１に示すように、記録装置１０は、メモリカードスロット１１、ＣＤ−ＲＷ／ＤＶＤ−ＲＷドライバ１２、ＦＢＳ１３、コインメックユニット１４、スピーカ１５、表示部１６、制御部１７、プリンタ１８、ＵＰＳ１９等を備えて構成される。

次に、制御部１７によって行われる上記編集記録処理について説明する。
ここで、メモリカードスロット１１やＣＤ−ＲＷ／ＤＶＤ−ＲＷドライバ１２に格納された記録メディアには、編集記録処理が行われる（編集注文の対象となる）画像ファイルと、当該編集記録処理を行う際の仕様（以下、編集注文という。）が予め記録されている。

なお、上記編集注文情報は、編集注文の対象となる画像ファイルと同一の記録メディアに記録されているとしたが、これに限らず、例えば、画像ファイルが記録された記録メディアとは別のメディアに記録されていても良いし、注文票用紙に記入されるようなものであっても良い。この場合、ユーザは、当該注文票用紙を参照しながら編集注文情報をタッチパネル１６２を介して直接入力することとなる。

この編集注文情報は、動画から静止画をキャプチャーしてプリントするような編集注文の場合には、動画からキャプチャーされる場面（静止画）を指定するための情報や、当該キャプチャーされた静止画をプリントするための情報等を含む。例えば、編集注文の対象となる動画ファイル名（格納場所を示すパス）、動画再生スタートからのキャプチャー時間（又は、動画を構成する各静止画を識別するためのフレーム番号。）、プリントサイズ、プリント枚数、カラーマネジメント情報及びトリミング情報等を含む。このキャプチャー時間とは、動画の再生が開始されてから抽出（キャプチャー）の対象となる静止画が表示されるまでの時間である。

また、上記編集注文情報は、動画からキャプチャーされる静止画と他の静止画を含む複数の静止画を、指定されたレイアウト（テンプレート）に基づいて一つの静止画面内に割付けるように編集してプリントするような編集注文の場合には、当該複数の静止画の各々を指定するための情報や、当該指定された複数の静止画を編集する際に用いるテンプレートを指定するための情報や、当該指定された複数の静止画を当該テンプレートと共にプリントするための情報等を含む。例えば、編集注文の対象となる動画ファイル名（格納場所を示すパス）や静止画ファイル名（格納場所を示すパス）、動画再生スタートからのキャプチャー時間（又は、動画を構成する静止画のフレーム番号。）、テンプレート番号、プリントサイズ、プリント枚数、カラーマネジメント情報、トリミング情報、静止画をテンプレートに貼り付ける際の画像の位置（ポジション）を示す画像貼付ポジション情報等を含む。

制御部１７は、編集記録処理を開始すると、メモリカードスロット１１やＣＤ−ＲＷ／ＤＶＤ−ＲＷドライバ１２に格納された記録メディアに予め記録された編集注文の対象となる動画ファイルと、当該動画ファイルに対し編集注文するための編集注文情報とに基づいて静止画をキャプチャーする。次に、制御部１７は、必要に応じて指定されたテンプレート上に静止画を貼り付ける等の処理を行い、当該処理後の画像をプリンタ１８を用いてプリント（インデックスプリントを含む。）し編集記録処理を終了する。

当該編集記録処理により作成されたプリント例１を図２に示す。プリント例１には、一つの画面内に二つの静止画がテンプレートに貼付されている。これら静止画のうち少なくとも一つは動画からキャプチャーされたものである。

次に、図３を参照して上記編集注文情報の作成処理について説明する。
編集注文情報の作成は、ゲーム機やＤＶＤプレーヤ等の家電機器やＰＣ等（以下、編集注文情報作成装置という。）によって注文情報作成プログラムが実行されることにより行われる。この編集注文情報プログラムは、編集注文情報作成装置の内蔵メモリに予め格納（インストール）されていても良いし、また、当該編集注文情報に基づいて編集注文の対象となる画像ファイルと同一の記録メディアに記録されていても良い。

まず、編集注文の対象となる画像ファイルが記録された記録メディアがセットされたと判定されると（ステップＳ１０）、編集注文情報プログラが実行される（ステップＳ１１）。

また、編集注文用操作画面２には、動画２１の再生時間を視覚的に示す動画再生時間表示２３と、再生中の動画２１からキャプチャ−場面を指定する指示入力を行うキャプチャー指示ボタン２４が表示されている。ユーザは、動画２１の再生中にキャプチャー場面が表示されると、キャプチャー指示ボタン２４を指等でタッチ（或いはマウスをクリック）して当該場面の静止画をキャプチャーする。この際、動画再生開始時からキャプチャーされるまでの時間（或いは、キャプチャーされた静止画のフレーム番号。）が算出され、当該算出された時間（或いは、フレーム番号。）により、キャプチャー画面が指定される。

上記のようにしてキャプチャーされた静止画がキャプチャー画像２５のように表示される。更に、キャプチャー画像２５の指定（抽出）が終了した際にプリント注文指示ボタン２６がユーザの指等によりタッチ（或いはマウスによりクリック）されると、当該キャプチャー画面の指定を編集注文情報として作成する旨の指示入力が行われる。

まず、ＤＳＣ、デジタルビデオカメラ或いはＤＶＤカメラ等を用いて作成された画像ファイルは、写真店で記録メディアＡに記録されたり、或いは、駅、マーケット、レストラン等の公共の場に設置された記録装置１０によって記録メディアＡに記録されたりする（ステップＳ５０）。ここで、記録メディアＡには、注文情報作成プログラムが予め記録されている。

この場合、記録メディアＡは、駅、マーケット、レストラン等の公共の場であって記録装置１０の設置場所近傍に設けられた販売陳列棚Ｔから購入される。画像ファイルは、記録装置１０を用いて当該記録メディアＡに記録される。

当該編集注文情報は、編集対象となる画像ファイルが記録された記録メディアに追記されていても良いし、注文票用紙に記入されていても良い。この場合、ユーザは、当該注文票用紙に記入された編集注文情報を記録装置１０に直接入力する。
また、編集注文情報の作成は、ユーザが利用可能なゲーム機、ＤＶＤプレーヤ或いはＰＣ等で注文情報作成プログラムが実行されることにより行われる。

また、編集注文情報はオンラインによりプリントサービス業者等に直接送信できるので、ユーザは、編集注文情報だけでなく当該編集注文の対象となる動画もプリントサービス業者にオンライン送信すれば、自宅等からでも動画から静止画をプリントするシステムを利用できるので便利である。
