Viene descritto un procedimento, ed un circuito, per l'anticipo di handover in sistemi radiomobili in presenza di brusche attenuazioni dei segnali radio, particolarmente utili in ambienti microcellulari urbani. Il procedimento consiste in un opportuno filtraggio numerico dei valori medi a breve termine (circa 0,5 secondi) di campioni di livello sia misurati (downlink) da un apparato mobile, che inviati (uplink) alla stazione servente. Il suddetto filtraggio viene attuato applicando una metodologia FIR ai valori medi d'ingresso espressi in dBm. I valori filtrati vengono confrontati con una soglia prestabilita, il cui superamento comporta l'emissione anticipata di una richiesta di handover per causa livello tra il mobile e una cella adiacente (target) preferita. Quando la soglia non viene superata continuano a valere i criteri normalmente previsti per l'esecuzione degli handover (fig. 1).A method and a circuit are described for the advance of handover in mobile radio systems in the presence of sharp attenuation of the radio signals, particularly useful in urban microcellular environments. The procedure consists of a suitable numerical filtering of the short-term average values (about 0.5 seconds) of level samples both measured (downlink) from a mobile device and sent (uplink) to the serving station. The aforementioned filtering is carried out by applying a FIR method to the average input values expressed in dBm. The filtered values are compared with a predetermined threshold, the exceeding of which leads to the early release of a handover request due to the level between the cabinet and a preferred adjacent target cell. When the threshold is not exceeded, the criteria normally envisaged for handover execution continue to apply (fig. 1).
