Abstract

A bicycle gear change device which can especially be used on mountain bikes comprises two control levers 3, 4 for two independent ratchet gear mechanisms used to control the upward and downward selection respectively of various gear transmission ratios. The device also includes indicator means for identifying the various selection positions. Each operating lever is subject to the effect of elastic means which return it to the same resting position after any selection manoeuvre. <IMAGE>
