Opis izumaDescription of the invention
Namijenjen je za biranje i slušanje muzike za jednu ili više osoba koje borave u zatvorenom ili otvorenom javnom prostoru.JUKEBOX according to the invention is a device that reproduces music through a built-in audio amplifier and internal and/or external speakers. It is intended for choosing and listening to music for one or more people staying in a closed or open public space.
According to the invention, the JUKEBOX can also play music from external sources, eg radio receiver, cassette player, ..., with the option of choosing between external sources or music stored in the jukebox itself. HARDVER (HARDWARE)HARDWARE
The working principle of the MP 3 JUKEBOX is based on the application of a single standard PC or NOTEBOOK as a management, control and memory unit. In addition to the standard circuits that every PC or NOTEBOOK contains (power supply, motherboard, RAM, HDD, sound card-soundblaster, network card, CD-ROM, floppy disk) a special "interface board" developed by the authors of this invention based on one or more microprocessors. It serves as an interface between all external (input) signals and the PC or NOTEBOOK, and is connected directly to the PC's motherboard or connected to one of the NOTEBOOK's serial ports. The interface processes external (input) signals, which come from the buttons and from the payment device, while it forwards the output signals to the PC or NOTEBOOK. Every time the JUKEBOX is switched on, the PC or NOTEBOOK programs the interface, so that it can perform its function in the entire system.
Time je omogućeno jednostavno i jeftino unošenje dopuna i promjena softvera. A floppy disk is needed because all minor software changes come on diskette. This enables simple and inexpensive additions and changes to the software. Major software changes come on CD. It is foreseen that all software changes can be done by a non-expert authorized person, thanks to the "user friendly" program support. It makes it possible to complete and/or change the software found on a diskette or CD by simply inserting the diskette or CD into the appropriate drive, after which the complete process of updating and/or changing the software is performed completely automatically. All that remains for an authorized person is to finally turn off the device and remove the diskette or CD.
A standard PC or industrial computer with a CRT or LCD TFT monitor (6) or with a "touch screen" addition to the monitor ( 6). Instead of this combination, it is possible to install a complete NOTEBOOK with an LCD TFT monitor (6). This combination is much more compact and easier to service because in the event of a possible failure, only a few connectors are disconnected and the complete NOTEBOOK is sent for service. This can be done by a less skilled person, which reduces labor costs in the field.
Complete communication between the device and the user takes place through the [image] keys (1 - 4), which on the front panel of the device form an ergonomically expedient quadrangle with horizontal and vertical vertices, and a separate OK key (5). The [image] (up/down) keys are used to move within one page (screen) of the menu, and the [image] (back/forward) keys are used to scroll through a complete page, like flipping through a book. The OK button (5) serves to confirm any selected option and start its execution, which is why it is spatially distant from the other buttons (1 - 4), which practically eliminates the possibility of unwanted or premature activation of the selected option.
Priprema muzikePreparation of music
Music is converted from any standard sound carrier into MP 3 format using special software, special codes are added for the artist, the name of the melody and the type of music (if necessary, other necessary data can be added), or similar information about the melody already present on sound carrier.
Pohranjivanje muzikeStoring music
Glazba obrađena na vanjskom PC-u ili NOTEBOOK-u koja je na njima i pohranjena služi za “punjenje” odnosno spremanje u memoriju JEKEBOX-ova, ili prilikom proizvodnje ili tijekom eksploatacije samih uređaja i to na dva načina:Music processed on an external PC or NOTEBOOK that is stored on them is used for "charging" or saving in the memory of JEKEBOXes, either during production or during exploitation of the devices themselves, in two ways:
Directly from a PC or NOTEBOOK by connecting them to the corresponding inputs (ports - USB, PCMCIA) on the JUKEBOX itself or in parallel to the fixed HDD in the device itself. Music can be switched by individual, pre-selected titles or all at once.
To će ubuduće ovisiti o napretku tehnologije samih CD-a (npr. DVD sistem).2. A "CD burner" is connected to an external PC or NOTEBOOK and CDs with approx. 180 titles are "baked", depending on the capacity of today's CDs, which is 640-700 MB. In the future, this will depend on the progress of the technology of the CDs themselves (eg the DVD system).
The MP 3 CDs prepared in this way serve as a cheap and efficient tool for changing and/or supplementing the content of the JUKEBOX, as they enable even a layman to easily service the device in the field, thanks to the software support developed by the team work of the authors of this invention.
Sam uređaj ima u svojoj unutrašnjosti servisnu tipku dostupnu jedino ovlaštenoj osobi. Pritiskom na njega ulazi se u servisni mod, te se na ekranu pojavljuju slijedeće informacije:The device itself has a service button inside, accessible only to an authorized person. By pressing it, the service mode is entered, and the following information appears on the screen:
1. USNIMAVANJE AUDIO CD-a,1. RECORDING AUDIO CD,
2. USNIMAVANJE MP 3 CD-A,2. RECORDING MP 3 CD,
3. MREZNI RAD,3. NETWORK WORK,
4. BRISANJE PJESAMA,4. DELETING SONGS,
5. BROJCANIK KREDITA,5. LOAN NUMBER,
6. STATISTIKA UREDJAJA.6. DEVICE STATISTICS.
Tipkama (3 ili 4), sl. 1 ili 2, odabire se željeni način rada i potvrđuje pritiskom na tipku OK (5):Use the keys (3 or 4), fig. 1 or 2, to select the desired operating mode and confirm by pressing the OK key (5):
1. USNIMAVANJE AUDIO CD-a1. AUDIO CD RECORDING
Moguće je izabrati i obrnuto, tj. da se snime označeni “track-ovi” (nazivi).A standard audio CD is inserted into the CD-ROM in the device, after which the device displays the "tracks" recorded on the CD on the screen. You can choose between recording all "tracks" (titles) with buttons (1) and (3), and they are automatically recorded by confirming with the OK button (5). Another possibility is individual recording of individual "tracks" (names), marked (marked) with buttons (1) and (3). By pressing the OK button (5), unmarked "tracks" (names) are recorded. It is possible to choose the other way around, i.e. to record marked "tracks" (names).
After recording, enter the artist, song name and type of music using the keyboard. By pressing the button (1), fig. 1 or 2, the "audio CD recording" mode is exited. The software developed by the authors of this invention now automatically sorts newly recorded music alphabetically by artist and type of music or by other entered data.
Podjela može izgledati:Music can be divided into a large number of types. The division may look like:
- dance, disco, funky, house, techno,- dance, disco, funky, house, techno,
- hip-hop, rap, rave,- hip-hop, rap, rave,
- pop, rock,- pop, rock,
- hard, heavy, new age, new wave, punk,- hard, heavy, new age, new wave, punk,
- afro, greece, italo, latino,- Afro, Greek, Italian, Latin,
- reggae, ska,- reggae, ska,
- blues, gospel, jazz, R&B, soul,- blues, gospel, jazz, R&B, soul,
- country, folk,- country, folk,
- soundtrack.- soundtrack.
Sve navedene vrste mogu postojati u varijanti domaće i strane glazbe. All the listed types can exist in domestic and foreign music variants.
Početnu podjelu muzike na ekranu moguće je načiniti na mnogo načina, primjerice:The initial division of music on the screen can be done in many ways, for example:
domaće, strane, top lista lokala, novi ulaz.domestic, foreign, top list of bars, new entrance.
2. USNIMAVANJE GOTOVOG MP 3 CD-a2. RECORDING OF A FINISHED MP 3 CD
A CD with already prepared music in MP 3 format is inserted into the CD-ROM, and after confirmation by pressing the OK button (5), all titles appear on the screen. You can choose between recording all titles, which is automatically recorded by pressing the OK button (5), or individual titles by marking the titles we do not want to record in the box to the left of the title. Unmarked titles are automatically recorded by pressing the OK button (5). It can be set to be the other way around, i.e. to record marked titles, but the logical assumption is that there are almost always more titles on a new MP3 CD that need to be recorded, so the marking process is shortened.
U oba slučaja uređaj pita prije izvršenja jesmo li sigurni i to opet treba potvrditi tipkom OK (5). Ovime se omogućava vrlo brzo i jednostavno mijenjanje i dopunjavanje muzičkih naslova u JUKEBOX-u, čime smanjujemo troškove. In both cases, the device asks before execution if we are sure, and this must be confirmed again with the OK button (5). This enables a very quick and easy change and addition of music titles in the JUKEBOX, thus reducing costs.
3. MREŽNI RAD3. NETWORK WORK
By selecting this option, JUKEBOXes establish mutual communication without any external central computer system, and the authorized person has the possibility to transfer and delete music and all other digital records (eg video business card of the venue, pictures of performers, video clips, ...) between devices. It is enough to connect an ordinary keyboard to the built-in PC or use the NOTEBOOK keyboard if it is built-in. The devices can be connected to a public communication network or an internal communication network (for example, if there are several of them in different rooms of a large entertainment center). It is also possible to read the state of the credit dial or the statistics of individual devices. In this way, the need to visit certain locations can be assessed, and an unnecessary trip can be saved.
4. BRISANJE PJESAMA4. DELETING SONGS
Selecting this option can free up space for recording new songs. The same image appears on the screen as during normal use of the JUKEBOX, and the desired block of music to be deleted is selected. The titles to be deleted are marked, and after that the device asks for confirmation to delete the marked song titles. By pressing the OK button (5), the marked titles are deleted. By pressing button 1, fig.1, 2 and 3, the device sorts the remaining titles alphabetically by artist and type of music. After that he starts playing music.
5. BROJČANIK5. NUMBER
Dials built into the jukebox according to the invention can be hardware, software or combined. They show the achieved turnover, that is, the financial parameters of the use of the device.
6. STATISTIKA6. STATISTICS
It shows how many songs were played in a certain period in order to easily follow the tastes and wishes of the guests, and to delete titles that are rarely chosen and performed. On the basis of statistical data, a top-list is formed and makes it impossible to repeatedly repeat the same song.
All statistical data, stored in the device's memory, are available only to authorized persons. This data can be displayed on the screen, printed or sent to any other networked MP 3 jukebox of the same manufacturer.
Rad s uređajemWorking with the device
By pressing the service button again, the JUKEBOX switches to the "random mode" of operation, in which even without activating the payment device, it plays at a reduced volume, choosing titles according to the algorithm of random selection of titles or melodies. A special control circuit determines the difference between the volume level in "random mode" (unpaid quieter music) and the selected paid music.
1 pjesma 2 kn (0,25 USD, 0,5 DEM), 3 pjesme 5 kn. Vrsta uređaja za naplatu odabire se prema želji kupca JUKEBOX-a.Now the guest of the bar has the possibility to select the desired type of music (6) using the keys (1-4), and by selecting the keys (1-4) again, he selects the desired melody, and by activating the payment device, the selected title plays. The charging device (7) can be activated before or after the selection of music, which greatly simplifies handling of the device. In doing so, he is enabled to pay for one melody at a nominal rate, and several selected melodies at a more favorable rate, eg 1 song HRK 2 (USD 0.25, DEM 0.5), 3 songs HRK 5. The screen can also contain additional information about the price of individual songs, images of artists, advertising messages, video business cards of local establishments, videos and the like. These features are controlled by our own software, and can be changed according to the requirements of JUKEBOX customers. Payment devices are standard industrial products produced by several global manufacturers, and can be activated by coins of all denominations in any order (recognition is handled by our own software), tokens, bills or cards (magnetic or with a chip). The type of payment device is selected according to the wishes of the JUKEBOX customer.
Time dobivamo na pouzdanosti rada. The signals from them are processed in a special "interface board", which is the result of the inventor's own development, and the main advantage is that it is either plugged directly into the PC motherboard or is connected to one of the serial ports of the NOTEBOOK, and the wiring goes directly to it. This increases the reliability of work. Melodies are selected by pressing one of the keys 1-4, and the full screen for the selected type of music opens.
Podaci o vrsti glazbe, izvođačima i nazivima pjesama složeni su po hijerarhijskom principu “vrsta glazbe→izvođač→ naziv pjesme”.Data on the type of music, artists and song names are compiled according to the hierarchical principle "music type→artist→song name".
All the data displayed on the screen can visually look like two pages of a book, so that switching from one screen to another looks like flipping through an open book. This way of displaying data enables simpler and faster navigation in a large amount of data, and easier and faster selection.
Another possible variant of the display of data on the screen is that it visually appears as if it is arranged in lines on one page of arbitrary length and can be scrolled line by line or screen by screen in the upward or downward direction.
Now the user selects the artist and/or the melody itself in the selected screen and starts it by pressing the OK button. In order to prevent other guests from being harassed by repeating the same melody, the inventor's program supports the prohibition of repeating the same melody as follows. It is possible to specify an arbitrary number n (n = 1, 2, ...) of different other melodies that must be performed before it is possible to select the same melody again.
SOFTVER (SOFTWARE)SOFTWARE
The MP3 JUKEBOX recording system uses, as already indicated, the MP3 audio compression format. This format requires large processing capabilities. It is based on extremely high compression compared to the original, and at the same time it maintains a high level of quality compared to the original soundtrack. MP3 JUKEBOX has the ability to directly convert the original CD or any other audio storage media into MP3 format. In doing so, already existing program routines (so-called MP3 coders) are used, which are implemented within our own software. In this way, the process is completely automated and requires nothing more from the user than inserting the CD into the reader, starting the encoding program and, finally, entering the name of the artist and the name of the song. After that, the system automatically places the encoded songs in certain folders, which are defined by the name of the artist or the type of music.
Decoding of the MP3 format is done at the moment the song is played. The program routine begins with the decoding and sound performance of the selected song almost instantly, and thus sends the decoded signal to the sound card, which converts the decoded digital record into an analog one.
The system for coordination and management of external components uses a specially developed piece of hardware. Specifically, an ISA or PCI card with an input-output controller (processor) that connects external components (keys, token holder, sound control, etc.) with routines in the software itself. After starting the system, the software initializes the controller by setting the processor in certain states (some for reading input components, eg keys, and some in output states, eg token management). Since such a controller at some point receives a signal from an external component, it informs the software that the data has arrived and is ready to "deliver" it to the program. Likewise, if the program requires a control signal to one of the external components, the program sends data to the controller that needs to be forwarded to the specific component.
Kompletan softver objedinjuje nekoliko cjelina:The complete software combines several units:
1. Izvođački dio gdje se jednostavnim izborom pomicanjem strelica tipkama (1 – 4) bira, a tipkom za potvrdu (5) izvodi odabrana pjesma.1. The performing part where a simple selection by moving the arrows with the keys (1 – 4) is selected, and the selected song is performed with the confirmation key (5).
2. U donjem dijelu ekrana ispisuju se slijedeći parametri:2. The following parameters are displayed in the lower part of the screen:
a) trenutno svira … (naslov pjesme),a) currently playing ... (song title),
b) za odsvirati izabranih pjesama “x”,b) to play selected songs "x",
c) broj plaćenih pjesama (plaćenih kredita) “y”,c) number of paid songs (paid credits) "y",
The indicator in the form of a bar code at the bottom of the screen visually shows and monitors the time of the song performance; in this phase of the device's operation, the controller's engagement is maximum, because it is checked whether any button has been pressed, whether the payment device has been activated (someone inserts coins), the complete course of the song performance is monitored and it is checked whether there are any paid items in the "playlist" songs to perform. If there are none, the system automatically switches to "random mode", i.e. it selects a song according to random selection criteria and sends an order to the controller to reduce the sound volume level to the level previously set by a special control circuit.
The deletion system has the same appearance as the performance, with the fact that individual songs and artists are deleted by simple selection with the buttons (1 – 5). In the status part of the screen, the free space on the disk is displayed in minutes.
Naravno i tu postoji mogućnost pojedinačnog upisa pjesama.5. The system for automatic recording of finished MP3 CDs is automated to the extent that, after inserting the CD into the reader, it will automatically record all the songs stored on the CD. If a song already exists on the disc, it will be automatically overwritten by the new version when it is loaded from the CD - this is convenient if there is an error on the song that is automatically corrected by deleting the old version and recording a new correct version. Of course, there is also the possibility of individual entry of songs.
The statistics system tracks all the songs that have been performed in a certain period of time and creates, as desired, top lists of the most listened to performances that are available on the screen. There is also the option of automatically deleting songs that have not been played for a certain period. This option can be adjusted in relation to the monitoring time period and the minimum number of executions.
Dio vlastito razvijenog softvera ima posebnu zadaću, a to je memoriranje plaćenih kredita i izabranih pjesama u slučaju prekida napajanja uređaja električnom energijom. Time su praktički eliminirani mogući nesporazumi između vlasnika i korisnika uređaja.Part of the self-developed software has a special task, which is to memorize paid credits and selected songs in the event of a power outage. This practically eliminates possible misunderstandings between the owner and user of the device.

JUKEBOX ZA SLIJEPE I SLABOVIDNE OSOBEJUKEBOX FOR BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSONS
Pri ovoj izvedbi sve funkcije tipki 1-4 i tipke OK (5) popraćene su odgovarajućom govornom informacijom. Govorna informacija omogućuje slijepoj ili slabovidnoj osobi potpuno samostalno rukovanje uređajem. In this version, all the functions of keys 1-4 and the OK key (5) are accompanied by appropriate voice information. Voice information enables a blind or partially sighted person to operate the device completely independently.
When a blind or partially sighted person has selected the desired screen with keys 1-4, with key 3 (down) or 4 (up) he walks through song titles and artist names. At the same time, the name of each selected artist and the name of the song are pronounced.
This is achieved by recording the name of the artist and the title of the song when preparing the music. In this way, it is possible to make JUKEBOX multilingual.
The described audio-visual combination of the name of the artist and the name of the song can be applied to all the described variants of the performance of the JUKEBOX according to the invention.
U nekima od njih on može biti kombiniran:Various versions of the JUKEBOX according to the invention are possible. In some of them it can be combined:
