Fig. 8 is a disassembled front view and a plan sectional view illustrating a configuration of a device for sensing installation of a protective cover according to still another embodiment of the present invention; and figures 9 and 10 are exploded front views showing the configuration of a device for sensing the opening and closing of a protective cover according to yet another embodiment of the present invention.
First, a basic configuration of a protective cover for a mobile device according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below.
As the most remarkable feature of the configuration, as shown in fig. 1 to 3, the protective cover 10 for a mobile device according to the present invention includes a transparent portion 20, and the transparent portion 20 is capable of confirming key information F displayed on the display screen P when the mobile device M is operated when the protective cover 10 is closed.
In this embodiment, the protective cover 10 may be formed in the shape of one sheet made of a synthetic resin material or configured as a fabric assembly capable of high-frequency welding, and the reinforcing member 60 is assembled between the fabrics in an integrated form.
Obviously, a fabric capable of high frequency welding, such as soft velvet or suede, may be patched over the entire inner surface of the protective cover 10 to protect the display screen P.
In addition, the key information F shown on the display screen P of the mobile device is information that can be confirmed through the transparent portion without opening the protective cover 10 by merely briefly displaying, among contents displayed on the display screen P, an icon or the like such as character information, an indication of the remaining power, and the like, in addition to the current date and time and the received phone number.
For example, the key information F mainly means key information F showing an abridness such as the current date and time, the missed call record, the number of character information received, an indication of the remaining power amount, details of the received mail, and the like.
Therefore, the user can conveniently confirm the key information F displayed in the region of the transparent portion 20 of the display screen P through the transparent portion 20 without opening the protective cover 10.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the transparent portion 20 is preferably formed at a position corresponding to the area where the key information F is displayed on said display screen P when the mobile device M is in operation.
Further, the transparent part 20 is formed by penetrating a portion of the front surface of the protection cover 10 so that the opening part 11 may be formed in a size corresponding to an area where the key information F of the display screen is displayed.
When the mobile device is operated with the protective cover 10 covering the display screen P, i.e., when character information or a missed call is received, the transparent portion 20 configured in the form of an opening allows the user to confirm the character information or the missed call without opening the protective cover 10. Further, the user can conveniently confirm the date and time, the remaining power amount, etc. by pressing the power button or the home button without opening the protective cover 10.
Therefore, the user is provided with the convenience of confirming and handling the key information F displayed on the display screen by touching the display screen through the opening portion 11 of the protection cover 10 without opening the protection cover 10.
In addition, according to another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1a and 1b, the transparent part 20 has an opening part 11 formed at a portion of the front surface of the protection cover 10, and the most prominent characteristic configuration of the present invention further provides a transparent member 21 in the opening part 11 to protect the display screen P.
As described above, if the transparent part 20 is configured in the form of the opening part 11, impact or scratch may be generated on the surface of the display screen P due to the display screen P being exposed through the transparent part 20.
In this embodiment, in order to prevent this problem from occurring, a transparent member 21 is further provided in the opening portion 11.
According to still another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 1a or 2a, when the opening portion 11 is formed in a rectangular shape, for example, the transparent member 21 is also formed in a rectangular shape conforming to the shape of the opening portion 11.
Preferably, the transparent member 21 is formed in an integral manner with the protection cover 10 to form a flat surface and has a transparent screen portion 22 exposed to the outside, and a fixing unit 23 inserted into the protection cover 10 and assembled with the protection cover 10 is provided along an edge of the transparent screen portion 22.
Accordingly, since the fixing unit 23 is inserted and fixed into the protective cover 10, the protective cover 10 and the transparent member 21 are assembled into a single body.
Meanwhile, according to another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3a, the transparent part 20 may be formed in the same size as that of the display screen P.
As described above, since all normal display contents can be displayed on the display screen P of the mobile device M if the transparent part 20 is configured to have a wide area in accordance with the entire area of the display screen P, the user can confirm the contents without opening the protective cover 10 while viewing the display screen P, and this will be described in detail below.
In addition, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2c and 3b, there is provided a mounting cover 30 additionally installed after removing an existing rear cover assembled on a rear surface of the mobile device M.
In addition, since the mounting cover 30 is connected to the protection cover 10 by the connection member 40, the protection cover 10 performs a function of covering or uncovering the display screen P when rotated using the connection member 40.
At this point, when the display screen P is covered with the protective cover 10, the display screen P is protected and the contents of the display screen P can be viewed through the transparent portion 20.
That is, as shown in fig. 2c and 3b, the connection member 40 is provided at one side of the protection cover 10 in the form of overlapped flexible or soft synthetic resin or fabric capable of high-frequency welding for opening and closing operations of the protection cover 10.
Since the connection member 40 connects the mounting cover 30 and the protection cover 10 as described above, the display screen P is opened or closed by an operation of the user opening and closing the protection cover 10 when the protection cover 10 is mounted on the mobile device.
In particular, since the protective cover 10 of the present invention has the transparent portion 20, the contents of the display screen P can be confirmed without opening the protective cover 10, and thus the number of opening and closing the protective cover can be reduced as compared with the case of using the basic protective cover 10, and it can exhibit excellent effects of using the mobile device for an extended period of time.
In addition, the protective cover 10 described below as shown in fig. 5 includes an outer member 50 and an inner member 51, and when the protective cover 10 is configured to include a reinforcement member 60 inside thereof, the protective cover 10 may be formed in a structure in which the inner periphery of the opening portion 11 is attached to the protective cover 10 by high-frequency welding.
In addition, the rest shoulder 24 is provided by forming the inside of the fixing unit 23 of the transparent member 21 to have a step, and an adhesive member 52 such as a double-sided tape is provided at the rest shoulder 24.
Accordingly, the transparent member 21 is attached and assembled on the inner circumferential surface of the opening portion 11 by the adhesive member 52.
According to the above configuration, since the transparent member 21 is attached to the opening portion 11 after the protection cover 10 is completed, another transparent member 21 of a different material may be selectively installed according to the design of the protection cover 10.
The above-described transparent member 21 for completing the transparent part 20 may be preferably formed of transparent or translucent synthetic resin having a conductive function, and the transparent member 21 may be formed by injection molding or manufactured by machining a thin plate of PC material having excellent transparency and high strength.
In particular, the transparent member 21 and the fixing unit 23 may be configured as a whole, as shown in fig. 1b, and when the protective cover 10 is formed of a fabric capable of high-frequency welding as described below, the fixing unit 23 may be formed to extend from the transparent screen portion 22 in the shape of a plate without separately providing the reinforcing member 60 between the fabrics so as to function in place of the reinforcing member 60.
According to the above configuration, since the reinforcement member 60 is not necessary, the protective cover can be manufactured as a single body by directly bonding the outer member 50 and the inner member 51 of the fabric capable of high-frequency welding to both sides of the fixing unit 23 using the bonding member 52, which is effective because the manufacturing process and cost can be reduced.
In addition, the transparent member 21 may be formed of tempered glass or a half mirror, and the tempered glass has a transparency higher than that of the PC material and may provide a high-quality feeling if it is applied to the protection cover 10.
In addition, when the half mirror is applied as the transparent member 21, it may present an additional effect of providing the function of the mirror when the display screen P does not emit light instead of the mirror, so that the user may use the mobile device although the user does not separately carry the mirror, and when the mobile device is operated, light is emitted from the display screen P, and key information displayed on the display screen P may be conveniently confirmed through the half mirror.
In addition, since the PC material, the tempered glass, and the half mirror are manufactured to have a conduction function, although the protection cover 10 is closed, some functions may be operated by contacting the display screen P, and a user is provided with convenience of confirming the contents of the display screen P and handling the touch function without opening the protection cover 10.
According to still another embodiment of the present invention, the transparent member 21 provided in the protective cover 10 of the present invention configured as described above may be formed on the front surface of the protective cover 10 in various forms in a size corresponding to the position and outer size of the key information F or display contents shown on the display screen P.
That is, the key information F displayed on the display screen P is generally displayed in a vertical or horizontal direction.
For this purpose, the transparent member 21 according to the present invention may be formed, for example, in a horizontal direction on the protective cover 10 as shown in fig. 1a, or alternatively, the transparent member 21 may be formed to be elongated in a vertical direction on the protective cover 10 as shown in fig. 2a and 6.
In addition, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, when the transparent member 21 is formed on the protective cover 10 in a horizontal or vertical direction, it may be formed to be placed at one side of the protective cover 10, as shown in fig. 2 a.
As described above, the transparent member 21 according to the present invention may provide a design of placing the transparent member 21 at one side end of the protective cover 10, and a design of arranging the transparent member 21 in a horizontal or vertical direction, depending on the arrangement of the key information F displayed on the display screen P of the mobile device.
Accordingly, the present invention employing the transparent member 21 of the protection cover 10 having various arrangements provides convenience for users since the users can selectively choose and use the protection cover 10 of the present invention according to the arrangement of the key information F of the display screen P unique to each mobile device manufacturing company.
Meanwhile, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 2c, the above-mentioned fixing unit 23 is extendedly formed at an area other than the transparent member 21, and the outer member 50 and the inner member 51 are integrally attached to both sides of the fixing unit 23 using the adhesive member 52.
In addition, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, the reinforcement member 60 may also be disposed between the fixing unit 23 and the outer member 50 and between the fixing unit 23 and the inner member 51.
This is the configuration used to form the protective cover 10 when the protective cover 10 is formed of a fabric that can be fused using high frequency or ultrasound. In the case where the fabric is not fused, the protective cover 10 is formed of a fabric that is not reactive to high frequency by forming a thermoplastic adhesive film or layer that is reactive to high frequency on the inner surface of the fabric.
That is, as shown in fig. 2c or 3b, the transparent member 21 is disposed at the outside or the center of the protection cover 10 in the vertical or horizontal direction, and the fixing unit 23 may be integrally formed by extending the other portion of the protection cover 10.
In this case, the outer member 50 and the inner member 51 are formed of fabrics, and the reinforcement member 60 or the like need not be additionally assembled between the fabrics.
That is, the fixing units 23 are disposed between the fabrics, not the reinforcement member 60, and the protective cover 10 is formed by attaching the reinforcement member 60 with the outer member 50 and the inner member 51 using the adhesive member 52.
Since the transparent member 21 integrated with the fixing unit 23 instead of the reinforcement member 60 as described above does not separately require the reinforcement member 60, the manufacturing process is simplified, and the manufacturing cost and unit price are reduced.
Meanwhile, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, as shown in fig. 3a, the protective cover 10 has a frame unit 12 formed along an edge of the display screen P.
The transparent member 21 is formed in a region of the frame unit 12 in a size corresponding to the display screen P and is exposed to the outside.
In the above embodiment, the transparent part 20 is formed at a portion of the protection cover 10 so as to display the key information F, however, in the present embodiment, the transparent part 20 is formed in the same size as the entire area of the display screen P, and accordingly, the frame unit 12 is formed to assemble the transparent member 21 with the protection cover 10.
Accordingly, the fixing unit 23 of the transparent member 21 is formed along the edges of all four sides, and the fixing unit 23 is assembled to be inserted into the frame unit 12.
According to the above configuration, the entire contents of the display screen P can be confirmed through the transparent member 21 without opening the protective cover 10.
In addition, after the display screen P is opened by pressing a button of the mobile device through the transparent member 21, the mobile device may be used by externally touching the display screen P.
Accordingly, the user can confirm the contents of the display screen P and conveniently use the mobile device by touching the display screen P without frequently opening the protective cover 10.
In addition, since the protective cover 10 protects the display screen P, external impact cannot generate scratch, and effectively, the mobile device can be used for an extended period of time without generating scratch on the display screen P although an expensive protective film or the like is not attached.
Meanwhile, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, the function hole 13 is formed on the protective cover 10 at a position corresponding to the function part disposed on the front surface of the portable mobile device M.
Therefore, it is preferable to dispose the functional hole 13 substantially at one side of the protection cover 10 according to the present invention.
The functional hole 13 is configured as, for example, a selective combination of a communication speaker hole 14, a front-side camera hole 15, a user identification hole 16, and an optical sensor hole 17.
In addition, at one side of the protective cover 10, a push-type button display unit 18 is also provided at a position corresponding to a function button unit or a touch button unit of the portable mobile device M.
According to the above configuration, since the communication speaker, the front side camera, the user recognition sensor, and the optical sensor disposed at the upper and lower portions of the front surface of the mobile device are exposed to the outside through the function hole 13 when the protective cover 10 covers the display screen, each function can be suitably implemented although the protective cover 10 covers the display screen.
In particular, the push button display unit 18 is formed to easily confirm the position of the push button when operating the push button provided at the lower portion of the mobile device in a case where the display screen P is covered with the protection cover 10, even in a case where the display screen P is covered with the protection cover 10.
This is a configuration in which the protective cover 10 is manufactured in consideration of functional components arranged in a manner unique to each mobile device manufacturing company and in consideration of the case where components having functions other than the above-described functions are added or removed.
Further, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, the transparent member 21 is assembled to be inserted into the protective cover 10 while maintaining a slight gap D between the bottom surface thereof and the display screen P so as not to contact each other.
That is, although the protective film is not attached in a usual manner using a mobile device without a protective cover, the display screen P may be sufficiently protected if the protective cover 10 of the present invention is installed and used.
However, since the hardness of the transparent member 21 is similar to that of the display screen P if a transparent synthetic resin, a tempered glass, or a half mirror is used as a material of the transparent member 21, scratches or impacts may be generated due to the transparent member 21 contacting the display screen P when the protective cover 10 is opened or closed.
Therefore, in the present invention, in order to prevent such a problem from occurring, the transparent member 21 is configured to maintain a slight gap D from the display screen P when the transparent member 21 is mounted and assembled in the protective cover 10 so that the bottom surface of the transparent member 21 does not contact the display screen P, as shown in fig. 7.
Since the bottom surface of the transparent member 21 maintains a slight gap from the display screen P, the protective cover 10 does not directly contact the display screen P when the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P, and since the inner member 51 of the protective cover 10 formed of a fabric having a soft touch feeling, such as velvet or a suede, directly contacts the display screen P, no scratch is generated at all.
Meanwhile, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, when the protective cover 10 having the transparent part 20 is mounted on the mobile device, whether the protective cover 10 is mounted can be confirmed.
That is, as shown in fig. 8, the protection cover 10 of the present invention is configured to have the installation cover 30 additionally installed after removing the existing rear cover assembled on the rear surface of the mobile device M, and since the protection cover 10 is connected to the installation cover 30 through the connection member 40, the display screen P can be protected.
Accordingly, the mounting sensor unit 70 is disposed at one side of the rear surface of the mobile device so that the mobile device can sense the assembly of the mounting cover 30 when the mounting cover 30 is assembled on the rear surface of the portable mobile device M after the existing rear cover is separated.
Further, the mounting recognition unit 80 is provided on the inner side of the mounting cover 30 so that the mounting sensor unit 70 can recognize whether the mounting cover 30 is mounted.
The mounting recognition unit 80 may be configured in a contact type mechanically contacting the mounting sensor unit 70 or in a non-contact manner maintaining a gap between the mounting recognition unit 80 and the mounting sensor unit 70.
The contact type may be configured in various ways. For example, the mounting sensor unit 70 is configured as a micro switch or a tactile switch, and the mounting recognition unit 80 may be configured in the form of a button protrusion protruding on the inner surface of the mounting cover 30. In this case, the rear cover is formed without a button protrusion so as to recognize the combined state of the mounting covers 30.
In addition, in the case of being configured as a non-contact type, the installation sensor unit 70 may be configured as a light sensor or a magnetic sensor, and the installation recognition unit 80 may be formed as a blocking member for blocking light of the light sensor or passing light of the sensor or as a magnetic substance of a metal material related to the magnetic sensor.
Therefore, if the mounting cover 30 is mounted after separating the rear cover of the mobile device, the push type protrusion, the stopper, or the magnetic substance of the metal material operates the switch, the optical sensor, or the magnetic sensor, and the mobile device electrically recognizes whether the mounting cover 30 provided with the protective cover 10 is mounted.
For this purpose, it may be configured such that the key information F displayed on the display screen P of the portable mobile device M may be displayed only in the area of the transparent member 21 of the protective cover 10 if the mounting cover is fitted.
That is, the key information F is displayed on the display screen P almost corresponding to the screen area of the transparent member 21 of the protective cover.
At this point, the transparent member 21 is formed at a portion of the front surface of the protection cover 10 as described above and displays only the necessary contents F, or the transparent member 21 is formed as an area where the transparent member 21 has a size equal to that of the front surface and displays the entire contents of the display screen P.
Accordingly, the user can conveniently operate the mobile device by touching the surface of the transparent member 21 from the outside without opening the protective cover 10 while confirming the key information F of the display screen P through the transparent member 21.
Meanwhile, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, in addition to the configuration of sensing whether the protection cover 10 is mounted, a sensing device 110 for sensing opening and closing of the protection cover 10 is provided.
That is, as shown in fig. 9 and 10, the sensing device 110 for determining whether the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P is embedded in the protective cover 10.
For this purpose, the circuit connection unit 130 is disposed on the rear surface of the mobile device, and the sensing device 110 is configured to be electrically connected with the circuit connection unit 130.
The connection terminal 120 is embedded inside the mounting cover 30, and the connection terminal 120 is configured to turn on or off the display screen P according to an opened or closed state of the protection cover 10 related to the control circuit unit of the mobile device M while transmitting a signal informing the opened or closed state to the circuit connection terminal 130 and receiving the signal from the circuit connection terminal 130 in wired or wireless communication.
According to the above configuration, the mounting sensor unit 70 that determines the fitted state of the protection cover 10 can be systematically associated with the sensing device.
That is, if the mounting cover 30 is installed after separating the rear cover of the mobile device in order to install the protection cover 10, the mobile device recognizes the installation of the mounting cover 30 having the protection cover 10 through the installation recognition unit 80 and the installation sensor unit 70.
In addition, according to the type of the protective cover 10, the mobile device may be configured to be controlled by an internal program of the mobile terminal to recognize whether the transparent member 21 is formed in the size of a portion of the display screen P or the size of the entire display screen P based on the size of the transparent member 21.
Accordingly, since the mobile device displays the key information F on the display screen P in conformity with the size of the transparent member 21, the user can operate the mobile device by directly contacting the surface of the transparent member 21 from the outside.
In addition, when the protection cover 10 of the mobile terminal is closed, the sensing device 110 provided on the protection cover 10 senses the closed state of the protection cover 10 and recognizes whether the protection cover 10 covers the mobile device through the connection terminal 120 and the circuit connection unit 130.
If character information or a missed call arrives at the mobile device in this state, the mobile device displays normal contents displayed on the display screen P when the display screen P is not covered with the protective cover 10, and displays the key information F only in the area of the transparent member 21 when the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P.
In this way, the protective cover 10 according to the present invention allows the mobile device to recognize whether the protective cover 10 is loaded through the mounting cover 30 associated with the mobile device, and then the protective cover 10 senses that the display screen P is covered with the protective cover 10 and displays the key information F on the display screen P in conformity with the size of the transparent member 21.
Therefore, unlike the conventional protective cover 10 that merely performs a function of securely protecting the display screen P of the mobile device, the protective cover 10 according to the present invention is configured to exhibit an excellent effect of operating the mobile device by touching the protective cover 10 even in a case where the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P.
According to still another embodiment of the present invention, the sensing device 110 may be configured by a magnetic sensor, an illuminance sensor, a light sensor, or a proximity sensor.
That is, when a light sensor or an illuminance sensor is applied as the sensing device 110 enclosed inside the protective cover 10, the sensing device 110 may detect whether the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P by sensing light of the display screen P, and when a proximity sensor is applied as the sensing device 110, the sensing device 110 may detect whether the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P by sensing a distance between the display screen and the protective cover 10.
In addition, in the case of a magnetic sensor, a magnetic substance or the like associated with the magnetic sensor may be enclosed around the display screen P of the mobile device to sense whether the protective cover 10 is opened or closed in conjunction with the protective cover 10.
As described above, according to the sensor type and sensing method, the protective cover 10 itself can apply the sensing device 110 mounted on the protective cover 10 without changing the specifications of the existing mobile device, and when the mobile device manufacturing company itself manufactures the protective cover 10 to be compatible, the protective cover 10 can be configured to be related to the mobile device.
Meanwhile, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, a configuration for enclosing the sensing device 110 inside the protection cover 10 is also provided.
For this purpose, as shown in fig. 4a and 4b, the protective cover 10 includes an outer member 50 and an inner member 51, and the transparent member 21 includes a transparent screen portion 22 and a fixing unit 23 formed along an edge of the transparent screen portion 22.
The fixing unit 23 is configured to be fixed between the outer member 50 and the inner member 51 and assembled as a whole.
When the outer member 50 and the inner member 51 are made of fabric capable of high-frequency fusion or ultrasonic fusion, a reinforcing member 60 of synthetic resin material for forming the protective cover 10 in a plate shape is also provided between the outer member 50 and the inner member 51.
In addition, the fixing unit 23 is configured to be fixed to the reinforcement member 60 when being inserted in the reinforcement member 60.
That is, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, the reinforcement member 60 may include first and second reinforcement plates 61 and 62 formed of a synthetic resin.
A resting unit 63 for receiving the fixing unit 23 may be disposed between the first and second reinforcement plates 61 and 62, and the fixing unit 23 is received in the resting unit 63 and bonded to the resting unit 63 by the bonding member 52.
Further, by disposing the transparent screen unit 22 inside the resting unit 63 to be exposed to the outside through the transparent window 64 formed to communicate with the opening portion 11, the protection cover 10 having the transparent member 21 is completed.
Further, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, the first reinforcement plate 61, the second reinforcement plate 62, the resting unit 63, and the fixing unit 23 are attached by the adhesive member 52.
This is a configuration for forming the reinforcing member 60 and the transparent member 21 in a plate shape, and further preferably, the outer member 50 and the inner member 51 are attached to the outer surface of the first reinforcing plate 61 and the outer surface of the second reinforcing plate 62 by the adhesive member 52 to complete the protective cover 10 in a slim size.
Since the exterior member 50 is exposed to the outside, it should be made of fabric capable of high frequency welding, which is a decorative pattern durable to impact or scratch and has various color shapes.
Since the inner member 51 is a part contacting the display screen P, it is made of soft fabric such as velvet or goat skin, which will not cause a scratch on the display screen P when the inner member 51 contacts the display screen P.
In addition, according to still another embodiment of the present invention, when the above sensing device 110 is mounted on the protection cover 10, it is configured to receive the FPCB100 electrically connected to the sensing device 110 and the mounting cover 30 through the connection member 40.
For this purpose, an accommodation groove 65 for accommodating the FPCB100 is also provided at one side of the resting unit 63.
The receiving groove 65 is formed along a path connecting the FPCB100, and has a depth and a width determined to match those of the FPCB 100. The adhesive member 52 such as a double-sided adhesive tape may be provided on both sides of the FPCB100 or on the receiving grooves 65 of the first and second reinforcement plates 61 and 62.
In addition, a sensing device 110 accommodated inside the reinforcement member 60 as described above is provided at one end of the FPCB100 to sense a state in which the display screen P is covered with the protection cover 10.
A separate space for accommodating the sensing device 110 is formed between the first and second reinforcement plates 61 and 62 to enclose the sensing device 110 inside the protective cover 10.
In addition, an accommodation groove 65 for accommodating the FPCB100 is formed to be connected to a space for accommodating the sensing device 110.
In addition, the middle portion of the FPCB100 is inserted into the inside of the connection member 40 connected to one end of the protection cover 10.
The other end of the FPCB100 is connected to the connection member 40 to be connected to the connection terminal 120 provided inside the mounting cover 30 of the mobile device, and since the connection terminal 120 is connected to the circuit connection unit 130 provided on the rear surface of the portable mobile device M, the display screen P is turned on and off according to the opening and closing of the protection cover 10.
The sensing device 110 described in the present embodiment may be configured by a magnetic sensor, an illuminance sensor, a light sensor, a proximity sensor, or a magnetic sensor as described above, and obviously, necessary contents F displayed on the display screen in response to the operations of the protection cover 10 and the mounting cover 30 corresponding to each sensor may be confirmed by the transparent member 21.
According to yet another embodiment of the present invention, a protective case for a portable mobile device is provided that interconnects with the mobile device only by opening and closing the protective case, without the need to tear off the back case of the portable mobile device and connect to the mobile device.
In general, although a method of removing (tearing off) a rear cover of a portable mobile device and connecting a protection cover to the mobile device is advantageous in that the feeling of integrating the mobile device and the protection cover for the mobile device may be improved by appearance, attaching the protection cover is troublesome and, if a plurality of electronic control means are included, problems may occur in driving the mobile device.
Accordingly, an embodiment is provided in which a protective cover for a mobile device is attached to an outer surface of the mobile device without removing the rear cover and recognizes a state of covering the display screen P.
In this embodiment, the portable mobile device includes a sensing means capable of recognizing the opening and closing of the protection cover 10 so as to display the key information F in a portion of the display screen P corresponding to the transparent portion 20 of the protection cover when the protection cover 10 covers the display screen P.
A protective case for a mobile device is attached to and interconnected with a portable mobile device.
The protective cover for a mobile device includes a protective cover 10 having a transparent portion 20 for confirming key information F displayed on a display screen P when the mobile device M is operated while the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P, and the protective cover 10 is connected to a mounting cover 30, the mounting cover 30 is attached to a rear surface of the mobile device M by a connecting member 40, and the protective cover 10 can open and close the display screen P.
At least one of a magnetic sensor, a capacitive sensor, a resistive sensor, and an electrical contact sensor may be used as the sensing means included in the portable mobile device.
In general, it may be convenient to use a magnetic sensor or an electrical contact sensor as the sensing means.
In this case, the protective cover 10 will also include a magnetic material for transmitting a magnetic signal or a conductive material for transmitting an electrical signal, and when the protective cover 10 containing such a material covers the display screen P, the sensing means senses the magnetic material or the conductive material included in the protective cover 10 and notifies the mobile device M of the state of covering the display screen P with the protective cover 10.
In addition, an embodiment is provided in which the display screen P of the mobile device may be turned on or off according to whether the display screen P is covered by the protective cover 10, in addition to recognizing whether the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P by the mobile device.
Referring to fig. 11, in another embodiment, the mobile device senses whether the display screen P covers the protective cover 10.
If an incoming call arrives with recognition that the protective cover 10 covers the display screen P, information on the incoming call is displayed in a predetermined portion of the display screen P.
If the notice information arrives with the protective cover 10 covering the display screen P, the notice information is displayed on a predetermined portion of the display screen P.
At this point, a portion of the display screen P displaying notification information, such as information on an incoming call or arrival time of the incoming call, will be set to match the transparent portion formed on the protective cover so that the user can confirm the information.
According to the present invention, since the front surface of a portable mobile device such as a smartphone can be safely protected even in the case of application of external impact, and the contents on the display screen can be confirmed or the touch function can be operated even when the protective cover is not opened, the functions of the mobile device can be sufficiently used by installing the protective cover while the mobile device is safely protected.
Further, the mobile device may recognize whether the protection cover is mounted through a mounting sensor unit included in the sensing means and a mounting cover provided on the protection cover, and in addition, the protection cover is provided so as to recognize opening and closing of the protection cover. Therefore, although the protective cover is opened less frequently, the user can be provided with convenience in operating the mobile device from the outside through the transparent member.
While the present invention has been described with reference to the particular illustrative embodiments, it is not to be restricted by the embodiments but only by the appended claims. It is to be appreciated that those skilled in the art can change or modify the embodiments without departing from the scope and spirit of the present invention.
