Abstract

762,528. Air cushions &c. TALLEY, H. A. E. March 3, 1955 [May 12, 1954], No. 13874/54. Class 52 (4). An overlay for the prevention of bedsores consists of a pad with parallel interdigitated cells 1, 2 connected by headers 3, 4 and supplied through a motor-driven rotary valve 7 whereby the cells may be alternately inflated and deflated oppositely in turn by fluid preferably air, under pressure supplied by a pump 11. A pressure-operated cut-out switch 13 is provided for the pump. Specification 633,722 is referred to.
