Abstract

745,306. Two-part couplings. NETTLE ACCESSORIES, Ltd., and REVINGTON, D. July 22, 1954 [July 24, 1953], No. 20573/53. Class 38 (1). The earth pin c of a plug having flat pins has a leaf spring d fixed so as to lie along one edge of the pin. When the plug is inserted in a socket, the spring bears against the edge of the opening in the socket cover and holds the plug in position. The spring may be riveted to the earth pin, as shown, or lie in a recess with undercut ends. According to the Provisional Specification, the spring may lie in a recess in the upper edge of the pin with its inner end riveted to the pin.
