Abstract

666,147. Snow-guards for roofs. SUTTON, E. J. Feb. 7, 1950 [Feb. 7,1949], No. 3278/49. Class 20(iv) A bracket for a snow-guard for a roof comprises a base plate 1 having a turned down end 2 for engaging over a tile or batten as shown and an upstanding portion 3 which supports, e.g. rods 9 forming a snow-guard. The upstanding portion 3 may be formed of two pieces of sheet metal and may have a reinforcement secured to its inner edge. The inner edges of the portion 3 may be inclined to the base plate so that when the bracket is in position on a pitched roof the inner edge is vertical. In a modification the base plate may be in the form of a tile and the upstanding portion may be integral with the base plate.
