Abstract

641,125. Rotary pipe joints. CHIKSAN CO. May 5, 1948, No. 12380. Convention date, Feb. 9. [Class 99(i)] The socket 11 of a tubular member A is formed with a shoulder 21 and has curved and straight intermediate portions 22, 23 respectively rotatably engaged by a bearing projection 27 and by an end portion 25 of a tubular member E which is coupled tc member A by a sleeve 13 provided with an internal curved seat 36 rotatably engaging the projection. The sleeve may threadedly engage the socket and have a flange 32 to form the seat. A rubber ring 50, having an inner concave side 51 and a metal ring 53 embedded therein, may seal with shoulder 21 and face 44 of member B. The free ends of the numbers may each be formed with a head to which the flangelike part of a pipe is connected by a threaded sleeve.
