Abstract

424,556. Centrifugal pumps. BOLIDENS GRUVAKTIEBOLAG, 17, Võstra Tradgardsgatan, Stockholm. Oct. 17, 1934, No. 29748. Convention date, Oct. 19, 1933. [Class 110 (i)] A centrifugal pump with a vertical shaft 5 has an impeller 4 in a casing 1 the bottom of which is in the form of a detachable cover 8 held firmly in position by a screw operated by a hand wheel 20. The casing is lined with rubber and is provided with a drain 3, and the impeller has a rubber coating. Fluid enters the pump from the trough 7 through the annular space 6 between the shaft and the casing. Bearings 9, 10 support the shaft 5. and are carried on a frame 13. The casing has feet 18 which are secured by bolts 24 to shelves 19 on the frame. After the screw has been loosened by the wheel 20 the cover 8 can be removed. The bolts 25, 24 can then be taken out so that the trough 7 can be lifted and the pump casing exchanged. Links 14 on crank arms 27 operated by a lever 161 form a lifting device for the trough 7. If desired the trough 7 and casing 1 may be lifted together.
