Abstract

394,199. Two-part couplings. PESSINA, A. F., 5, Via Mascheroni, Milan, Italy. Oct. 12, 1932, No. 28421. [Classes 36 and 38 (i).] An electric supply conductor for house &c. installations comprises resilient sheet-metal strips 3 inserted in slots 2 in an insulating block 1, and held in position by curled edges 5 engaging lateral grooves, the conductor being adapted to receive at any point plug-members 7 formed of bent sheet-metal strips. The plug members may be formed as part of an ordinary lamp-holder 9 which may also be provided with projecting arms 13 adapted to embrace the exterior of the block 1 and to be clamped in position by screws 14. In other constructions, the plug-member is combined with a screw-cap lamp-holder or a clip-holder for tubular lamps, or is formed as a separate plug unit. Adjacent lengths of the supply conductor are electrically coupled together by an overlapping short length of the conductor strip 3.
