[Class 125 (iii).] The collapsable tube of the parent Specification is provided with a flange or lip 3, Fig. 2, or is formed with a groove just below the mouth of the tube, and the selfclosing valve 4 is permanently secured in position by an additional member 5 engaging the valve, being pressed underneath the flange or lip of the tube or into the groove formed thereon. Alternatively, the mouth of the tube may be provided with an inwardly extending flange 6, Fig. 3, to engage in a peripheral groove formed on the slitted rubber diaphragm. One or more protecting-discs 8 of paper, cork, and the like are applied to the inner and if desired the outer surfaces of the diaphragm, and a coating of neutral varnish, such as cellulose acetate varnish, may'be applied to the inner side only.
