Abstract

342,538. Door hinges. TIETZ, R., 17, D³ppelstrasse, Steglitz, Berlin. Feb. 10, 1930, No. 4422. [Class 65 (ii).] The leaves of a hinge are constructed with eyes split in various ways so as to grip the hinge pin resiliently and to offer frictional resistance to turning ; Figs. 5 and 6 show one formof a leaf so constructed. The hinge leaves may be laminated, and the eyes may be reinforced by split sleeves. In a modification, one of the leaves is constructed as above, and the hinge pin is fixed relative to the other leaf.
