Endless-belt bag-like conveyers. - A conveyer belt A is of tubular form in its normal condition, is made of flexible material, such as indiarubber or indiarubber reinforced with canvas or other textile fabric, and has a continuous longitudinal slit A'. As the belt flattens out in passing round the end rollers B, C, material may be supplied thereto at one end and discharged at the other. At intermediate points the edges of the slits may be separated by guides or rollers F<1>, F<2>, Fig. 3, to permit the supply of material. The cross-section of the belt may be circular or polygonal. In a modification a longitudinal rib H<2>, Fig. 6, of canvas or other textile fabric is formed on the belt and engages a groove J in a guiding or driving pulley. This rib contains a longitudinal wire H<1>. In another modification, the belt comprises transversely split rings of spring metal covered and connected together by canvas &c.. The belt may be used for cooling rubber compound while conveying it by creating a draught through it by induction from one end.
