Couplings. - A clip for securing the ends of flexible leads to a lamp - holder, ceiling rose, &c. comprises two members b pressed together by a pair of screws c to grip the leads, and having a shrouding a of leather, wood, fibre, rubber, asbestos or other non- abrasive insulating material, such as moulded synthetic resin, extending between and at the sides of the members b. The clip forms an abutment that coacts with the casing e of the fitting and the insulator f carrying the contacts d. The members b mav be strengthened by fluting them, or may have depressions to receive the leads.
